Microchip Technology MIC2129 DC-DC Step-Down Controllers

Microchip Technology MIC2129 DC-DC Step-Down Controllers feature selectable gate drive voltage, remote sense, and adaptive on-time control architecture. The selectable gate driver voltage allows using either logic-level MOSFETs or standard MOSFETs. These 4.5V to 100V step-down synchronous DC-DC controllers offer adjustable output voltage from 0.6V to DMAX x VIN with ±1% reference voltage. The output voltage remote sensing feature improves output voltage regulation by compensating for voltage drop in ground returns in high current applications. The MIC2129 controllers feature adjustable positive and negative current limit thresholds and a bootstrap LDO, which supplies the gate driver power to the converter's output. These step-down DC-DC controllers offer 100kHz to 800kHz adjustable switching frequency, output voltage remote sensing, adjustable soft start time, internal compensation, and output overvoltage protection.

The MIC2129 step-down DC-DC controllers are AEC-Q100 qualified and operate within the -40°C to 125°C temperature range. Typical applications include 48V telecom and base station power supplies, automotive and industrial power supplies, motor driver power supplies, and battery-operated hand-held tools.
