Microchip Technology Intelligent Analog PIC
Microchip Technology Intelligent Analog PIC reduces the system cost, conserves board space, and improves the performance with increased throughput, and transfer of ADC (Analog-to-Digital) data via UART or SPI. On products with DMA, data is directly transferred to the RAM to be processed in parallel. Each analog module may be individually turned on or off when needed. DMA enabled DACs (Digital-to-Analog) require no processor overhead for even faster responses. Integrated buffered DACs eliminate the need for an external buffer. DAC can be used as input or reference to Op Amp, Comparator, or ADC. Op-Amp can be configured for either the lowest power consumption or the highest speed. MCU internal voltage references can be used as references for integrated analog components. CTMU can be used as a constant current source for sensors.Benefits of Integration
Intelligent Analog provides a wealth of benefits through integration: Faster data path, reduced noise; Intelligent connections inside the chip; ability to change analog parameters in software; simplifies board designs; and reduces cost and board space.
