Microchip Technology ATBTLC1000 BLUETOOTH® SoC

Microchip Technology ATBTLC1000 BLUETOOTH® SoC (System-on-a-Chip) is an ultra-low-power Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) 4.1 device with an integrated Arm® Cortex®-M0 microcontroller (MCU), transceiver, modem, MAC, PA, TR switch, and Power Management Unit (PMU).  It can be used as a BLE link controller or data pump with an external host MCU. When combined with external memory, it can also function as a standalone applications processor with embedded BLE connectivity.

The ATBTLC1000 stores the Bluetooth SIG qualified protocol stack in a dedicated ROM. The firmware includes L2CAP service layer protocols, Security Manager, Attribute protocol (ATT), Generic Attribute Profile (GATT), and the Generic Access Profile (GAP). Additionally, example applications are available for application profiles such as Proximity, Thermometer, Heart Rate, Blood Pressure, and many other SIG-defined profiles.

The ATBTLC1000 provides a compact footprint and various embedded features such as a 26MHz crystal oscillator. It provides the right solution for the customer, whose BLE design requires full features, using low power consumption and minimal PCB space.

The Microchip Technology ATBTLC1000 Bluetooth SoC is available with either a single wire antenna connection or with an integrated chip antenna.
