ams OSRAM AS5311 High-Resolution Magnetic Linear Encoder

ams OSRAM AS5311 High-Resolution Magnetic Linear Encoder is a system-on-chip and combines integrated Hall elements, an analog front end, and digital signal processing on a single chip. This contactless encoder has a multipole magnetic strip or ring magnet with a pole length of 1mm, which is used to sense the rotational or linear motion. The encoder provides accurate linear motion and off-axis rotary sensing with a resolution down to <0.5µm and operates at 3.3V or 5V. The absolute measurement provides an instant indication of the magnet position within one pole pair with a resolution of 488nm per step. ams OSRAM AS5311 High-Resolution Magnetic Linear Encoder is offered in a small 20-pin TSSOP package.
