MEDER electronic (Standex) MK08 & MK25 Reed Sensors

Standex-Meder Electronics MK08 and MK25 Reed Sensors are intrinsically safe and are ATEX-approved as proximity sensors. The MK08 proximity sensors are magnetically operated reed switches supplied with oil-resistant cable. The sensor should be mounted on a fixed surface with the actuating magnet on the moving surface. With the MK25's non-contact switching and EX approval, it is a safe way for switching in explosive environments. Simple mounting takes place with standard drilling in a steel plate up to 4mm. Typical applications include the petrochemical and mining industries, filling stations, hazardous areas, industrial appliances, selector or mode switches in machinery, tank systems, and applications with a difficult environment.
