Microchip Technology SHA106 CryptoAuthentication™ Devices

Microchip Technology SHA106 CryptoAuthentication™ Devices are ideal for accessory or disposable application use. The SHA106 is a parasitically-powered Single-Wire Interface (SWI) variation of the SHA104. The SHA106 offers 128-bits of symmetric security intended for disposable and ecosystem control applications, is designed to be used as a companion device, and is microcontroller/microprocessor agnostic.

The Microchip SHA106 CryptoAuthentication can be utilized in systems where either the host can assist in the authentication via the use of a challenge-response pair or, for more security, can be operated with a host-side security device to perform a CheckMAC operation. The SHA106 can be used with the SHA105 or other Microchip CryptoAuthentication host-side devices.
