NXP Semiconductors NHS3100 NTAG® Sensor Development Kit
NXP Semiconductors NHS3100 NTAG® Sensor Development Kit (NHS3100SENSORADK) provides a quick start for application development based on the NHS3100 NTAG SmartSensor. The NHS3100 is an integrated IC optimized for temperature monitoring and logging, making it ideal for use in supply chains. The NHS3100 includes an embedded Arm® Cortex®-M0+ microprocessor, which offers flexibility to developers to implement the device into their own dedicated Time-Temperature Integrator (TTIs) solutions. NXP NHS3100 also features an integrated Real-Time Clock (RTC), Near Field Communication (NFC) interface, internal temperature sensor, and a direct battery connection. The Sensor Development Kit includes an NHS3100SENSORDB Demo Board with an NXP Semiconductors NHS3100 NTAG SmartSensor, plus a MEMS accelerometer, a humidity sensor, and a UCODE-I2C IC. The NHS3100 controls the monitoring of different sensor values: temperature, shock, vibrations, tilting, and humidity. Through the UHF interface, the identity of good and status of handling can be observed. Via NFC, the sensors are selected, activated, and started. NFC is also used to upload the logged values and events to the cloud.
The Sensor Development Kit also includes the LPC-Link2 Board. This extensible, stand-alone debug probe can be configured to support various development tools and IDEs by utilizing downloadable firmware. The LPC-Link2 features a high-speed USB port and various connectors for attaching NXP Demo Boards.
Through the LPC-Link2 board, users have full debug capabilities for the NHS3100 using NXP LPCXpresso IDE Development Software. The NHS3100 Demo Board can also be used as a stand-alone demonstration device when used with the Android or iOS smartphone apps. Additional NHS3100 Demo Boards can also be ordered separately.
Smartphone Apps
The NHS3100 NTAG Sensor Development Kit can be used with the NHS3100 Temperature Logger Android App (Requires Android 4.3 or higher) or the SensorBoard Monitor iOS App (Requires iOS 13.4).
