Microchip Technology SM802 & SM806 Ultra-Low Jitter Clock Synthesizers

Microchip Technology SM802 & SM806 Ultra-Low Jitter Clock Synthesizers are members of the ClockWorks® family of devices from Microchip. They provide an extremely low-noise timing solution for applications like (1-100) Gigabit Ethernet, SONET, wireless base station, satellite communication, Fibre Channel, SAS/SATA, and PCIe. The SM802 is based upon a unique PLL architecture that provides less than 250fs phase jitter. The SM806 is a PLL clock generator that achieves ultra-low phase jitter (78fsRMS). With six total outputs and dividers on each output, this device can generate six different frequencies up to 875MHz, from a low-cost quartz crystal or a reference clock input.
