Microchip Technology MCP3x6x Sigma-Delta ADCs
Microchip Technology MCP3x6x Sigma-Delta Analog to Digital Converters (ADCs) feature a programmable data rate of up to 153.6kSPS and a programmable gain of 0.33X to 64X. These ADCs also include integrated features like temperature sensors, internal oscillators, and burnout sensor detection to reduce system component count and total solution cost. The MCP3x6x ADCs include an internal sequencer (SCAN mode) with multiple monitor channels and a 24-bit time. This allows the ADCs to automatically create conversion loop sequences without the need for MCU communications. These ADCs offer advanced security features, including CRC and register map lock that ensures configuration locking and communication data integrity for secure environments.
The Microchip Technology MCP3x6x ADCs are available in a leaded TSSOP-20 package, as well as in an ultra-small 3mm x 3mm UQFN-20 package. The MCP3465R is offered in a 2mm x 2mm UQFN-12. These ADCs are ideal for use in precision sensor transducers and transmitters, portable instrumentation, factory automation and process controls, and temperature measurements.
