KYOCERA AVX TransGuard® VA and VC Multilayer Ceramic Transient Voltage Suppressors (TVS) deliver state-of-the-art bidirectional overvoltage protection from voltage transients caused by electrostatic discharge (ESD), lightning, nuclear electromagnetic pulse (NEMP), and inductive switches. These suppressors are developed using a high-energy multilayer construction, thin dielectric materials, and patented processes for precise ceramic grain growth. Both series provide superior energy dissipation with transient clamping characteristics up to 1.2kA peak current. Other features are 0201 to 3220 case sizes with axial or SMD/SMT termination, 3.3VDC to 385VDC working voltage range, and 10mJ to 15J surge energy range.
