Apacer SO-DIMM Memory Modules offer a variety of different memory solutions to meet requirements for many different applications. These devices come in either Small Outline DIMM (SO-DIMM), ECC Small Outline DIMM (ECC SO-DIMM) or Wide Temperature Small Outline DIMM (WT SO-DIMM). Each type of module is designed to meet the specific needs for those applications.SO-DIMM is a JEDEC-compliant module designed to fit space-constraint systems, such as notebook computers, small-size industrial computers, and embedded systems. Manufactured with the highest quality original DRAM chips, stringently tested for quality assurance, and verified for compatibility, Apacer SO-DIMMs are high-performance memory modules that are highly stable and compatible. 32-Bit SO-DIMM mainly supports the ARM architecture. Due to its superb energy efficiency, the ARM processor is widely used in the networking, vehicular, mobile communication, and embedded device markets. Unlike the 64-bit memory module that supports the x86 system, the unique 32-bit SO-DIMM provides the 32-bit ARM architecture with another design option besides onboard memory.
ECC SO-DIMM is a JEDEC-compliant module that is specially designed for microservers, workstations, networking platforms, and embedded systems. Manufactured with the highest quality original DRAM chips, it supports the ECC function to detect and correct data errors and a built-in temperature-monitoring thermal sensor to prevent overheating and improve the memory module’s reliability.
WT SO-DIMM is specially designed for harsh climates and special environmental conditions. Able to operate in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 85°C, it is applicable for industrial, military, aeronautical, and vehicular systems that face extreme environmental challenges. In addition to using original industrial-grade DRAM IC, Wide Temp SO-DIMMs also use industrial-grade wide-temperature-range passive parts with 30u” gold plating PCB to improve anti-oxidation and ensure the stability of the signal transmission. Wide Temperature SO-DIMMs have also passed industrial verification testing for high/low temperatures and the most stringent 48-hour thermal cycling test, ensuring their ability to operate for long hours in extreme environments.
