Analog Devices / Maxim Integrated MAX77985/MAX77986 Evaluation Kits
Analog Devices MAX77985/MAX77986 Evaluation Kits demonstrate the MAX77985/MAX77986 single-cell lithium-ion battery chargers. The kits are fully assembled and tested printed circuit boards (PCBs). The MAX77985/MAX77986 are for 1S Li+ battery applications and operate with an input voltage of 4.7V to 19V with a maximum charging current of 3.5/5.5A. The ICs provide a reverse boost and fully integrated low-power loss switches, offering a small solution size and high efficiency. The ADI MAX77985/MAX77986 evaluation kits conveniently evaluate complete USB Type-C® PD solutions with the MAX77958 USB PD controller. This combination enables fast battery charging through the USB Type-C port and reverses powering the USB Type-C port with battery OTG mode. A Micro-B USB cable is included to function as the interface from a USB port on a Windows PC to the slave I2C port on the IC. Windows®-based graphical user interface (GUI) software supplies a user-friendly interface to apply the features of the IC.
