Transphorm 4kW Digital Bridgeless Totem-Pole Power Factor Controller (PFC) Evaluation Board demonstrates the advantages of Gallium Nitride (GaN) FET technology. The evaluation board is designed to evaluate the TP65H035G4WS (35mΩ) GaN FETs in a bridgeless totem-pole PFC circuit. This evaluation board offers improved performance and efficiency with GAN FETs in the fast-switching leg and with low-resistance MOSFETs in the slow-switching leg of the circuit. The TDTTP4000W066C-KIT operates at an input voltage that varies between 85V_AC to 265V_AC voltage and between 47Hz to 63Hz frequency and requires an ambient temperature of <50°C. The digital PFC code is based on an open-source design from Microchip Technology that provides access to the existing firmware.
