This material technology enables process control at the particle level, increasing the number of layers needed to realize higher capacity while reducing size. The thickness of each layer in the multilayer ceramic capacitor family is only 0.6μm at the slimmest point, and the number of layers reaches 1000 at maximum. TAIYO YUDEN Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors are aimed at high-performance digital devices such as smartphones, tablet PCs, TVs, power supplies, general digital circuits, DC/DC converters, and, for AEC-Q200-compliant MLCCs, automotive applications.

MSAS & MSAY Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors

TAIYO YUDEN MSAS and MSAY Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors (MLCCs) offer a capacitance range from 680pF to 4.7µF with ±10%/±20% tolerance and X5R, X7R, or standard dielectric. These devices come in 0201 and 1005 case sizes with a high dielectric for the MSAS series and low distortion, audible, and good bias for the MSAY variants. Typical applications for TAIYO YUDEN MSAS and MSAY capacitors include PCs, telecom, power supplies, and industrial electronics.
