TVS Diodes

Bourns Surface-Mount TVS Diodes are low capacitance devices that provide ESD, EFT, and surge protection for external ports of electronic devices such as cell phones, handheld electronics, and other portable electronic devices. Bourns TVS Diodes include smaller chip diodes that have the capability to provide a silicon diode with minimal packaging overhead. The chip diodes 0603, 1005, 1408, and 2010 are leadless, allowing for maximum space on PCB layouts. All Bourns diodes are RoHS compliant and meet many worldwide industry and government regulations on lead-free components. TVS package diode design kits are also available from Bourns.

TVS/Steering Diode Arrays and Kits

Bourns offers new TVS/Steering Diode arrays optimized for ESD, EFT, and surge protection. Featuring low- and ultra-low capacitance with Level 4 IEC 61000-4-2 ESD protection, the Bourns TVS/Steering Diode arrays are ideal for high speed communication port applications such as HDMI, DVI, and USB ports. Design Kits are offered for a variety of chip diodes.

Surface Mount TVS Diode

Bourns surface mount TVS diode is a low capacitance device that provides ESD, EFT and surge protection for external ports of electronic devices such as cellular phones, handheld electronics and other portable electronic devices. The device measures 1.0mm x 0.60mm x 0.55mm and is available in a DFN-2 package intended to be mounted directly onto an FR4 printed circuit board. The device will fit a 0402 footprint. Bourns surface mount TVS diode is designed to meet IEC 61000-4-2 (ESD), IEC 61000-4-4 (EFT) and IEC61000-4-5 (Surge) protection requirements.

TVS Diode Array

Bourns TVS (transient voltage suppressor) Diode Array provides cost-effective, space-savings for PCB layouts. With a flat configuration, the chip diode provides ESD, EFT, and surge protection, working peak voltages from 2.8V to 70V, unidirectional and bidirectional, as well as standard, low, and ultra-low configurations. The Bourns TVS Diode Array is ideal for a wide selection of applications including cellular and GPS antennae, high-speed communication ports, fast communication ports, portable electronics, and industrial controls.

Gas Discharge Tube for RS-485 Ports

Bourns Gas Discharge Tube (GDT) for RS-485 Ports is designed to meet industry standards on RS-485 port interfaces and to provide circuit protection in noisy and harsh electrical environments. For exposed lines that may see large and fast surges and where failure is not acceptable, a three-stage Bourns protection system is recommended.
