These Panasonic polymer-based capacitors offer a performance edge over conventional electrolytic and ceramic capacitors when it comes to electrical characteristics, stability, longevity, reliability, safety, and life-cycle cost. The various polymer and hybrid capacitors have distinct sweet spots in terms of their ideal voltages, frequency characteristics, environmental conditions and other application requirements. Polymer capacitors come in four main varieties: layered polymer aluminum, wound polymer aluminum, polymer tantalum, and polymer hybrid. Each type has different electrolytic and electrode materials, packaging, and application targets.

POSCAP Tantalum Polymer Solid Capacitors

Panasonic POSCAP Tantalum Polymer Solid Capacitors achieve stable capacitance at high frequency and temperature and low ESR/ESL. Available in several series that include solid electrolyte chip capacitors (TDC, TLE, TPB, TPC, TPE, TPF, TPG, TPSF, TPU, and TQC), the product line utilizes a sintered tantalum anode and a proprietary high conductivity polymer for a cathode. This construction and processing design yields low ESR levels and reliable performance in high-frequency applications. The capacitors offer a voltage range of 2V_DC to 35V_DC and a capacitance range of 3.9µF to 1500µF. Panasonic POSCAP Capacitors also feature high reliability, heat resistance, and volumetric capacitance efficiency. They are available in a variety of compact sizes, making them ideal for digital applications, high-frequency devices, and more.
