Zilog's Z8FS040 ZMOTION™ Detection and Control MCU combines the programmability and rich peripheral set of Zilog's Z8 Encore! XP® Flash MCUs with built-in motion detection software algorithms to provide the functions necessary for PIR motion detection applications. These motion detection algorithms comprise Zilog's PIR technology and run in the background while control and status of the PIR Engine is accessed through a software API. Zilog's Z51F0410 Microcontroller is an advanced CMOS 8-bit microcontroller with 4K bytes of Flash. The Z51F0410 Microcontroller from Zilog is a very flexible and cost-effective option for many embedded control applications. Features of the Z51F0410 series include 256 Bytes SRAM, 256 Bytes Data EEPROM, general purpose I/O, one basic interval timer, timer/counter, 10-bit PWM output, watchdog timer, watch timer, USART, and buzzer. The Z51F0410 also supports power-saving modes to reduce power consumption.

The Zilog Z16FMC™ Series Development Kit is intended to help users evaluate motor control designs and applications. The Z16FMC Series Motor Control Development Kit features a Motor Control Modular Development System (MC MDS) daughter board mounted on a 3-Phase Motor Control Application Board. The MC MDS board consists of a 64LQFP Z16FMC chip and a DBG connector to connect the kit to a host development PC via the USB Smart Cable. The 3-Phase Motor Control Application Board provides spade lug connectors for the 3-phase motor and fused spade lug connectors for an adjustable 24V DC, 3A workbench power source.

The Zilog ZMOTION™ Detection Module is a complete and fully functional motion detection solution ideal for lighting control and other occupancy proximity detection applications. The Zilog ZMOTION Detection Module is a board level module that combines the unique features of the Zilog Z8FS040 Motion Detection Microcontroller with a Pyrotechnic Sensor and a low profile Fresnel lens. The surface mount pyroelectric sensor and Fresnel lens combine to provide the lowest possible profile without sacrificing performance. This Zilog module is only 25.5mm x 16.7mm (a little over 1/2 a square inch) so it can easily fit into many size constrained applications. The ZMOTION Detection Module can operate in a simple Hardware mode that provides an output signal when motion is detected or in an advanced asynchronous serial mode when greater control over the motion detection performance is required. In both modes the sensitivity and delay time can be controlled to match the application requirements. The ZMOTION Detection Module Development Kit allows you to easily evaluate and develop designs based on the ZMOTION module.
The Zilog Z8523Lxx Enhanced Serial Communications Controller (ESCC) family supports dual channel and multiple protocols that easily interface to 8/16-bit addressable non-multiplexed address/data buses. The Zilog Z8523Lxx ESCC includes on-chip features such as baud rate generators, digital PLLs, and crystal oscillators that reduce external logic. This Zilog Enhanced Serial Communications Controller provides a migration to a 3.3V supply voltage for designers currently using a 5V solution. The Z8523Lxx ESCC family can also be added easily to low supply voltage based designs.

by allowing reduction of energy required for acceleration, in addition to adjusting
