Vishay Semiconductors
|
Vishay Semiconductors (formerly Vishay Telefunken, General Semiconductor, and the infrared components business of Infineon Technologies) is the world’s #1 supplier of infrared data communications devices (IRDCs), and rectifiers. Vishay is the #2 supplier of optocouplers and the #3 supplier of optical sensors. In these areas, Vishay Semiconductors combines the product lines of the former Vishay Telefunken, General Semiconductor (the largest producer of low-to-medium power rectifiers and TVS diodes), as well as the infrared components business of Infineon Technologies. Together, they provide Vishay Semiconductors customers with a single source for a broad portfolio of general semiconductor products used for short-range infrared data transmission, power management, remote controls, and electrical safety.

Vishay Semiconductors Gen. 5.0 High-Performance Schottky Rectifiers
The Vishay Semiconductors Gen 5.0 high-performance 45V and 100V Schottky rectifier series sets a new industry standard by extending current capability up to 20 A. The Vishay Semiconductors Gen 5.0 Schottky rectifier
is built on submicron trench technology and is suitable as a standalone
package for high-efficiency, high-density solutions. This Vishay Semiconductors diode
series features maximum forward voltage drops at +125°C of < 0.54V
typical at 6 A and 20 A for the 45V devices and < 0.65V at 10 A and
20 A for the 100V devices. The Gen 5.0 Schottky rectifier is
optimized for a variety of applications, including AC-to-DC secondary
rectification, flyback, buck and boost converters, half-bridge, reverse
battery protection, freewheeling, dc-to-dc module, and solar
photovoltaic bypass diode applications.
Vishay Semiconductors ESD Protection Diodes
Vishay Semiconductors' ESD protection diode product line protects sensitive electronics from high transient voltages or unintentional frequencies. These Vishay Semiconductor protection diodes protect against the hazards of electrostatic discharges (ESD). Above the defined voltage working range, any transient voltage that approaches the breakdown voltage will be short-circuited by the diodes so it cannot reach the gate.
Vishay Semiconductors Trench MOS Barrier Schottky Rectifier
The Vishay Semiconductors V, VB, and VF Trench MOS Barrier Schottky Rectifier
series delivers extremely low forward voltage drop and superior switching
performance for improved efficiency of switchmode power supplies
(SMPS). The low VF reduces power loss and improves general efficiency of the OR-ing
diode in the high-voltage output of redundant SMPS for servers,
industrial computers, and telecommunication systems. The Vishay Semiconductors device comes in various packages and is optimized for 40W to 800W high-frequency SMPS applications. The Trench MOS Barrier Schottky Rectifier can be used as an alternative to synchronous rectification solutions while matching their efficiency and thermal performance.
