Texas Instruments CC1101 Low-Power Sub-1GHz RF Transceivers and Kits
Texas Instruments CC1101 sub-1GHz RF transceivers are designed for low-power wireless applications. TI CC1101 sub-1GHz RF transceivers are mainly intended for ISM and SRD frequency bands at 315, 433, 868, and 915MHz but can easily be programmed for operation at other frequencies in the 300-348MHz, 387-464MHz, and 779-928MHz bands. These TI RF transceivers are integrated with a highly configurable baseband modem that supports various modulation formats and has a configurable data rate up to 600kbps. The Texas Instruments CC1101DK433 and CC1101DK868-915 are complete development kits including two SmartRF®04 EB evaluation boards, two CC1101EM433 or two CC1101EM868-915 evaluation modules, and two 433MHz or two 868/915MHz antennas. These TI development kits let you easily and quickly evaluate SmartRF04 products. The user can configure the radio ICs with parameters that suit the intended application and easily measure sensitivity, output power, and other RF parameters.
Texas Instruments TRF371109 Direct Downconversion Receiver and Kit
The Texas Instruments TRF371109 0.3-1.7 GHz wide bandwidth integrated direct downconversion receiver integrates balanced I and Q mixers, LO buffers, and phase splitters to convert an RF signal directly to I and Q baseband. The on-chip programmable gain amplifiers allow adjustment of the output signal level without the need for external variable gain (attenuator) devices. The TI TRF371109 direct downconversion receiver integrates programmable baseband low-pass filters that attenuate nearby interference, eliminating the need for an external baseband filter. The TI TRF371109 is housed in a 7-mm × 7-mm VQFN package and provides the smallest and most integrated receiver solution available for high-performance equipment. The TRF371109EVM Evaluation Module tests the performance of this TI direct downconversion receiver. The RF input and LO (local oscillator) input require differential signals, achieved with the use of an RF balun. The TRF371109EVM can be configured with different baluns to facilitate operation in the frequency band of interest.
Texas Instruments CC2530ZNP Mini Kit ZigBee™ Network Processor Development Kit
The Texas Instruments CC2530ZNP Mini Kit is a ZigBee™ Network Processor Mini Development Kit designed for engineers who want to get familiar with the ZigBee Network Processor concept without having to port a lot of software to get up and running. The ZigBee Network Processor allows adding ZigBee interface to any application using a simple serial interface. The TI CC2530ZNP Mini Development Kit comes with three target boards that allow users to set up a small ZigBee network. Two boards can be mobile using two AAA batteries provided in the kit. The kit sensor boards include an accelerometer, temperature sensor, and light sensor that can be used in conjunction with LED lights and push buttons to develop simple demo applications. The free IAR MSP430 kickstart compiler can be used for developing, downloading and debugging software on the kit. No additional tools are required. The eZ430 USB stick included in the CC2530ZNP kit is used both as debug probe and USB serial port interface. The example software includes 30+ educational MSP430 wireless sensor applications.
