Texas Instruments TPS2592AL 12V Circuit Protection eFuses are highly integrated circuit protection and power management solutions in a tiny package. These devices use few external components and provide multiple protection modes. They are a robust defense against overloads, shorts circuits, voltage surges, excessive inrush current, and reverse current. Current limit level can be set with a single external resistor and current limit set has a typical accuracy of ±15%. Over voltage events are limited by internal clamping circuits to a safe fixed maximum, with no external components required. In cases with particular voltage ramp requirements, a dV/dT pin is provided that can be programmed with a single capacitor to ensure proper output ramp rates. Many systems, such as SSDs, must not allow holdup capacitance energy to dump back through the FET body diode onto a drooping or shorted input bus. The BFET pin is for such systems. An external NFET can be connected “Back to Back (B2B)” with the TPS2592 output and the gate driven by BFET to prevent current flow from load to source.
Texas Instruments TPS7A3501 is a positive voltage, low-noise (3.8 µVRMS) power filter capable of sourcing a 1A load suitable for quiet supply solutions. Power filters, such as the TPS7A3501, provide voltage regulation across the input and output terminals with high efficiency (low insertion loss), and power-supply rejection. The device is ideally-suited as a noise filter for 3.3V, 2.5V, and 1.8V supplies at up to 1A. The input-to-output voltage regulation is also user-programmable, from 200mV to 500mV, with a single external resistor. If no resistor is used, the TPS7A3501 provides 330mV of input-to-output voltage regulation. The device is stable with 10µF input and output ceramic capacitors and a 10nF noise-reduction ceramic capacitor. The TPS7A3501 is fully specified over a wide temperature of –40°C to +125°C. The device is offered in a low thermal resistance, 2-mm × 2-mm, SON-6 package. Unlike passive filters, the TPS7A3501 provides thermal and current protection for itself and surrounding circuitry.
Texas Instruments TPS53515 is a small-sized, synchronous buck converter with an adaptive on-time D-CAP3 control mode. The device offers ease-of-use and low external-component count for space-conscious power systems. This device features high-performance integrated MOSFETs, accurate 0.5% 0.6-V reference, and an integrated boost switch. Competitive features include very-low external-component count, fast load-transient response, auto-skip mode operation, internal soft-start control, and no requirement for compensation. A forced continuous conduction mode helps meet tight voltage regulation accuracy requirements for performance DSPs and FPGAs. The TPS53515 is available in a 28-pin QFN package and is specified from –40°C to +85°C ambient temperature.
Texas Instruments UCC28180 is a flexible and easy-to-use, 8-pin, active Power Factor Correction (PFC) controller that operates under Continuous Conduction Mode (CCM) to achieve high Power Factor, low current distortion and excellent voltage regulation of boost pre-regulators in AC - DC front-ends. The controller is suitable for universal AC input systems operating in 100-W to few-kW range with the switching frequency programmable between 18 kHz to 250 kHz, to conveniently support both power MOSFET and IGBT switches. An integrated 1.5-A and 2-A (SRC-SNK) peak gate drive output, clamped internally at 15.2 V (typical), enables fast turn-on, turn-off and easy management of the external power switch without the need for buffer circuits.
Texas Instruments TPS92411 100V floating MOSFET switch is used in conjunction with a current regulator that can achieve greater than 0.9 power factor to create an offline LED drive solution with low-ripple current. When properly designed, solution performance is comparable to traditional flyback, buck or boost based AC/DC LED drivers. The approach requires no inductive components saving size and cost. Slew controlled low frequency operation of the TPS92411 switches creates very little EMI. Package options include SOT23-5 and PSOP-8, allowing the user to optimize for small size or scale for high power. Using the PSOP-8 package, design of the LED luminaires up to 70W is possible. Other features include a UVLO circuit to monitor when the device has sufficient voltage to operate properly and over voltage protection (TPS92411P).
Texas Instruments TPS62085, TPS62086, and TPS62087 device family are high frequency synchronous step-down converters optimized for small solution size and high efficiency. With an input voltage range of 2.5 V to 6.0 V, common battery technologies are supported. The devices focus on high efficiency step-down conversion over a wide output current range. At medium to heavy loads, the converter operates in PWM mode and automatically enters Power Save Mode operation at light load to maintain high efficiency over the entire load current range. To address the requirements of system power rails, the internal compensation circuit allows a large selection of external output capacitor values ranging from 10-µF to 150-µF capacitance. Together with its DCS-Control architecture excellent load transient performance and output voltage regulation accuracy are achieved. The devices are available in a 2-mm × 2-mm QFN package.
Texas Instruments TPS2475x 12A eFuse Circuit Protector provides highly integrated load protection for 2.5 V to 18 V applications. The devices integrate a hot swap controller and a power MOSFET in a single package for small form factor applications. These devices protect source, load and internal MOSFET from potentially damaging events. During startup, load current and MOSFET power dissipation are limited to user-selected values. After startup, currents above the user-selected limit will be allowed to flow until programmed timeout – except in extreme overload events when load is immediately disconnected from source. Programmable FET SOA protection ensures the internal MOSFET operates within its safe operating area (SOA) at all times and the load starts up at a defined ramp rate. This enhances the internal MOSFET performance while improving system reliability. Power good, Fault, and current monitor outputs are provided for system status monitoring and downstream load control. The devices are available in a 36-pin, 3.5 mm × 7 mm, QFN (RUV) package and fully specified over the –40°C to 125°C operating junction temperature.
Texas Instruments LMR22007 switching regulator is designed for the high-efficiency requirement of applications with stand-by and shut-down modes. The device features a low-current mode to maintain efficiency under light-load conditions, and an adaptive on-time control architecture for fast transient response. The LMR22007 can deliver up to 750mA of continuous load current with an adjustable input current limit. The device has a wide input voltage range of 2.7V to 20V, and supports VIN transients to 24V. Other features include internal compensation, internal soft start, input under-voltage protection, internal bootstrap diode, and thermal shutdown.
Texas Instruments LMR12007 750mA Load Step-Down DC-DC Regulators are a monolithic, high frequency, PWM step-down DC/DC converter in a 6-pin Thin SOT package. It provides all the active functions to provide local DC/DC conversion with fast transient response and accurate regulation in the smallest possible PCB area. With a minimum of external components and online design support through WEBENCH®, the LMR12007 is easy to use. The ability to drive 750mA loads with an internal 350mΩ NMOS switch using state-of-the-art 0.5μm BiCMOS technology results in the best power density available. The world class control circuitry allows for on-times as low as 13ns, thus supporting exceptionally high frequency conversion over the entire 3V to 18V input operating range down to the minimum output voltage of 1.25V.
Texas Instruments bq25570 Ultra Low Power Harvester Power Management IC is a highly integrated energy harvesting Nano-Power management solution that is well suited for meeting the special needs of ultra low power applications. The product is specifically designed to efficiently acquire and manage the microwatts (μW) to milliwatts (mW) of power generated from a variety of DC sources like photovoltaic (solar) or thermal electric generators. The bq25570 is the first device of its kind to implement a highly efficient boost converter/charger with a nano-powered buck converter targeted toward products and systems, such as wireless sensor networks (WSN) which have stringent power and operational demands.
Texas Instruments DRV8812 Dual-Bridge Motor Controller ICs provide an integrated motor driver solution for printers, scanners, and other automated equipment applications. The device has two H-bridge drivers, and can drive a bipolar stepper motor or two DC motors. The output driver block for each consists of N-channel power MOSFET’s configured as full H-bridges to drive the motor windings. The DRV8812 is capable of driving up to 1.6A of output current (with proper heat sinking, at 24V and 25°C). A simple parallel digital control interface is compatible with industry-standard devices. Decay mode is programmable. Internal shutdown functions are provided for over current protection, short circuit protection, under voltage lockout and overtemperature.

Texas Instruments TPS7A8300 Low-Dropout Voltage Regulator is capable of sourcing a 2A load with only 125mV of maximum dropout. TI TPS7A8300 features output voltages that are fully user-adjustable (up to 3.95 V) using a PCB layout without the need of external resistors or feed-forward capacitors, reducing overall component count. For higher output voltage applications, this device achieves output voltages up to 5V with the use of external resistors. TPS7A8300 supports very low input voltages (down to 1.1V) with the use of an additional BIAS rail. TPS7A8300 is designed to power-up noise-sensitive components in high-speed communication applications.
Texas Instruments TPS54335 / TPS543336 Synchronous Step Down Converters are 3A, low quiescent supply current synchronous DC-DC converter ICs with up to 28V input support. TI TPS54335/36 integrate MOSFETs and employ current mode switching control, making these devices ideal for compact designs on PCB and for reducing external component count. These buck converters provide accurate regulation for a variety of loads with a well-regulated voltage reference 1.5% over temperature. TPS54335 offers internal 2ms Soft-start and 50kHz to 1.5MHz adjustable frequency. TPS54336 features adjustable soft-start and fixed 340kHz frequency. Texas Instruments LMZ20502 SIMPLE SWITCHER® Nano Module Regulator is an easy to use synchronous step-down DC-DC converter capable of driving up to 2A of load from an input of up to 5.5V, with exceptional efficiency and output accuracy in a very small solution size. The innovative package contains the regulator and inductor in a small 3.5mm x 3.5mm x 1.9mm volume. This size saves board space and eliminates the time and expense of inductor selection. The LMZ20502 requires few external components and has a pin out designed for simple, optimum PCB layout. The LMZ20502 is a member of Texas Instruments' SIMPLE SWITCHER family. The SIMPLE SWITCHER concept provides for an easy to use complete design using a minimum number of external components and the TI WEBENCH® design tool.
Texas Instruments TPS6215x 3-17V 1A Step-Down Converters are easy-to-use synchronous step down DC-DC converters optimized for applications with high power density. A high switching frequency of typically 2.5MHz allows the use of small inductors and provides fast transient response as well as high output voltage accuracy by utilization of the DCS-Control™ topology. With its wide operating input voltage range of 3V to 17V, these TI devices are ideally suited for systems powered from either a Li-Ion or other batteries as well as from 12V intermediate power rails. These step-down converters support up to 1A continuous output current at output voltages between 0.9V and 6V (with 100% duty cycle mode).
Texas Instruments TPS92660 Two-Output LED Driver features one time programmable (OTP) ROM and I2C interface for LED current trim. The current trim provides a way for LED fixture manufacturers to produce LED lighting fixtures at a consistent lumen output without binning LEDs. One output of this TI device is a non-synchronous buck controller used to regulate current of higher power white LEDs. The other output of TPS92660 is a linear regulator controller used to regulate current of lower power red LEDs. TPS92660 LED Driver is used for applications of controlled CCT (correlated color temperature) LED lights by mixing white LEDs with red LEDs. This device is available in a 20-pin, TSSOP exposed pad package.
Texas Instruments SM74611 Smart Bypass Diode is used in photovoltaic applications and provides an alternate path for string current when parts of the panel are shaded during normal operation. TI SM74611 Smart Bypass Diode has a lower forward voltage drop than P-N junction and Schottky diodes. It has a typical average forward voltage drop of 26mV at 8A of current. This translates into typical power dissipation of 208mW, which is significantly lower than the 3.2W of conventional Schottky diodes. SM74611 is also footprint and pin compatible with conventional D2PAK Schottky diodes, making it a drop-in replacement in many applications.
Texas Instruments LP38798 Linear Regulator is a high-performance device capable of supplying 800mA output current. Designed to meet the requirements of sensitive RF/Analog circuitry, TI LP38798-ADJ implements a novel linear topology on an advanced CMOS process to deliver ultra-low output noise and high PSRR at switching power supply frequencies. LP38798SD-ADJ is stable with both ceramic and tantalum output capacitors and requires a minimum output capacitance of only 1µF for stability. LP38798-ADJ can operate over a wide input voltage range (3.0V to 20V), making it well-suited for many post-regulation applications.
Texas Instruments DRV8844 Quad 1/2-H-Bridge Driver IC provides four individually controllable 1/2-H-bridge drivers and can be used to drive two DC motors, one stepper motor, four solenoids, or other loads. The output driver channel for each channel consists of N-channel power MOSFETs configured in a 1/2-H-bridge configuration. DRV8844 can supply up to 2.5A peak or 1.75A RMS output current per channel (with proper PCB heatsinking at 24V and 25°C) per H-bridge. TI DRV8844 is ideal for use in a variety of applications, including textile machines, office automation machines, gaming machines, factory automation, and robotics. DRV8844EVM is an evaluation module for DRV8844 that includes an MSP430 microcontroller and a USB interface chip.
Texas Instruments TPS54560 60V, 5A Step Down DC-DC Converter features an integrated high side MOSFET and survives load dump pulses up to 65V per ISO 7637. Current mode control on this TI device provides simple external compensation and flexible component selection. A low ripple pulse skip mode reduces the no load supply current to 146µA. Shutdown supply current is reduced to 2µA when the enable pin is pulled low. TI TPS54560 features a wide switching frequency range that allows either efficiency or external component size to be optimized. Output current is limited cycle-by-cycle. Frequency foldback and thermal shutdown protects internal and external components during an overload condition. This step down regulator is ideal for use in a variety of applications, including industrial automation and motor control.
Texas Instruments LM25017 / LM25018 / LM25019 are 48V synchronous step-down regulators with integrated high side and low side MOSFETs. The constant-on-time (COT) control scheme employed in the TI LM25017 / LM25018 / LM25019 requires no loop compensation, provides excellent transient response, and enables very low step-down ratios. The on-time varies inversely with the input voltage resulting in nearly constant frequency over the input voltage range. A high voltage startup regulator provides bias power for internal operation of the IC and for integrated gate drivers. A peak current limit circuit protects against overload conditions. The undervoltage lockout (UVLO) circuit allows the input undervoltage threshold and hysteresis to be independently programmed. Other protection features include thermal shutdown and bias supply undervoltage lockout (VCC UVLO).
Texas Instruments UCC28063 Natural Interleaving™ Transition-Mode PFC Controller with Improved Audible Noise Immunity is optimized for consumer applications concerned with audible noise elimination. This TI solution extends the advantages of transition mode – high efficiency with low-cost components – to higher power ratings than previously possible. By utilizing a Natural Interleaving technique, both channels of the TI UCC28063 operate as masters synchronized to the same frequency. This approach delivers inherently strong matching and faster responses and ensures that each channel operates in transition mode. Expanded system level protections feature input brownout and dropout recovery, output over-voltage, open-loop, overload, soft-start, phase-fail detection, and thermal shutdown. The additional FailSafe over-voltage protection feature protects against shorts to an intermediate voltage that, if undetected, could lead to catastrophic device failure.
Texas Instruments LP5907 Ultra-Low Noise Low-Dropout Regulator is a linear regulator capable of supplying 250mA output current. Designed to meet the requirements of RF and analog circuits, LP5907 provides low noise, high PSRR, low quiescent current, and low line or load transient response figures. Using new innovative design techniques, TI LP5907 offers class-leading noise performance without a noise bypass capacitor and the ability for remote output capacitor placement. This LDO is designed to work with a 1-µF input and a 1-µF output ceramic capacitor (no bypass capacitor is required). This device is available between 1.2 V and 4.5 V in 25mV steps.

TI bq5105x wireless power receiver together with bq500210 transmitter-side controller enables a complete wireless power transfer system for direct battery charger solution. By utilizing near-field inductive power transfer, the receiver coil embedded in the portable device can pick up the power transmitted by transmitter coil. The AC signal from the receiver coil is then rectified and conditioned to apply power directly to the battery.
Texas Instruments TLV1171 low-dropout (LDO) linear regulator is a low input voltage version of 1117 voltage regulator. TI TLV1171 LDO is an extremely low-power device that consumes 500x lower quiescent current than the traditional 1117 voltage regulator, making it suitable for applications that mandate very low standby current. TLV1171 LDO is also stable with 0mA of load current. The device has no minimum load requirement, making it an ideal choice for applications in which the regulator is required to power very small loads during standby in addition to large currents on the order of 1A during normal operation. TLV1171 offers excellent line and load transient performance, resulting in very small magnitude output voltage undershoots and overshoots when the load current requirement changes from less than 1mA to more than 500mA.

Texas Instruments LM3463 Dynamic Headroom Controller is a six-channel linear LED driver with Dynamic Headroom Control (DHC) interface that is specialized for high power LED lighting applications. TI LM3463 delivers accurately regulated current to LEDs while maximizing the system efficiency. The variation of the output current of every output channel in the temperature range of -40°C to 125°C is well controlled to less than ±1%. The output current of every channel is accurately matched to each other with less than ±1% difference. By interfacing TI LM3463 Dynamic Headroom Controller to the output voltage feedback node of a switching power supply via the DHC interface, the system efficiency is optimized automatically. The dynamic headroom control circuit in the LM3463 minimizes power dissipation on the external MOSFETs by adjusting the output voltage of the primary switching power supply according to the changing forward voltage of the LEDs. The dimming control interface of the LM3463 accepts both analog and PWM dimming control signals.
Texas Instruments BQ500211 Generation 2, Qi Compliant 5V Wireless Power Transmitter Manager is a second generation digital wireless power controller that integrates all functions required to control wireless power transfer to a single WPC compliant receiver. TI BQ500211 is designed for 5V systems and safely engages a WPC compliant device, receives packet communication from the powered device, and manages the power transfer. This TI wireless power transmitter manager maximizes flexibility in wireless power applications by featuring Dynamic Power Limiting (DPL). Texas Instruments LM5039 Half-Bridge PWM Controller with Advanced Current Limit contains all of the features necessary to implement half-bridge topology power converters using voltage mode control with line voltage feed-forward. TI LM5039 PWM controller is a functional variant of the LM5035B half-bridge PWM controller, featuring average current limit during an overload event to balance the center-point of the half-bridge capacitor divider. Texas Instruments TWL6041 8-Channel High Quality Low-Power Audio Codec features a high level of integration providing analog audio codec functions for portable applications. The main control loop for TI TPS54526 Step-Down Converter uses D-CAP2™ mode control, which provides a very fast transient response with no external compensation components. The adaptive on-time control supports seamless transition between PWM mode at higher load conditions and Eco-mode™ operation at light loads.
