The Teridian Semiconductor 78M6612 is a highly integrated, single phase, power and energy measurement System on Chip (SOC) that includes a 32-bit computer engine (CE), an MPU core, RTC, and Flash. The 78M6612 features Teridian´s
Single Converter Technology® with a 22-bit delta-sigma ADC, digital
temperature compensation, and precision voltage reference. The device
supports a wide range of single phase PDU metering applications with
few external components. This Teridian Semiconductor energy measurement SOC measures each outlet of a duplex receptacle and provides complete energy measurement and communication protocol capability in a single IC. The 78M6612 also includes intelligent switch control capability and <0.5% Wh accuracy over 2000:1 current range and over temperature.
Teridian 71M6511 Power Meter ICs
Teridian Semiconductor's 71M6511 is a highly integrated SOC with an MCU core, RTC, Flash, and LCD driver. The devices feature Teridian's Single Converter Technology™ with a 21-bit 2nd order delta-sigma ADC, three analog inputs, digital temperature compensation, precision voltage reference, and 32-bit computation engine to support a wide range of residential metering application and sensor configurations with only a few external components. A 32kHz crystal timebase for the entire system and internal battery backup support for RAM and RTC further reduce system cost.
Teridian V.22 Single Chip Modems
Teridian's V.22 Single Chip Modems integrate a data pump, controller, and analog front end in a 3.3V device with a powerful "AT" command host interface. The device is a "one chip fits all" solution for embedded systems that reduces external component count and cost by incorporating features such as parallel phone detect, line-in-use, and ring detection in software without requiring additional components. The modems are pin compatible with Teridian's 73M2901CL hard modem and 73M1903 soft modem AFE. The devices are ideal for set-top boxes, point-of-sale terminals, automated teller machines, utility meters, vending machines, and smart card readers.
