Tempo Semiconductor STAC9758 Six Channel AC'97 CODEC

Tempo Semiconductor's STAC9758 Six Channel AC97 CODEC is a general purpose 20-bit, full duplex, 6-Channel audio CODEC conforming to the analog component specification of AC '97 (Audio Codec 97 Component Specification Rev. 2.3). The STAC9758 incorporates a proprietary ΣΔ technology to achieve a DAC SNR in excess of 90dB. With Tempo's headphone drive capability, headphones can be driven without an external amplifier. The STAC9758 communicates via the five AC-Link to any digital component of AC '97, providing flexibility in the audio system design. Packaged in an AC '97 compliant 48-pin TQFP, the STAC9758 can be placed on the motherboard, daughter boards, PCI, AMR, CNR, MDC or ACR cards.

Tempo Semiconductor's STAC9752 Two Channel 20-Bit AC'97 CODEC is a general purpose 20-bit, full duplex, audio CODECs conforming to the analog component specification of AC'97 (Audio CODEC 97 Component Specification Rev. 2.3). The STAC9752 incorporates a proprietary ΣΔ technology to achieve a DAC SNR in excess of 90dB. The DACs, ADCs and mixer are integrated with analog I/Os, which include four analog line-level stereo inputs, two analog line-level mono inputs, two stereo outputs, and one mono output channel. The STAC9752 includes digital output capability for support of modern PC systems with an output that supports the SPDIF format.

Tempo Semiconductor's STAC9750/51 Two Channel AC'97 CODECs are general purpose, full duplex, audio CODECs conforming to the analog component specification of AC'97 (Audio CODEC 97 Component Specification Rev. 2.2). They have 18-bit ADCs and 20-bit DACs. The STAC9750/9751 incorporates a proprietary ΣΔ technology to achieve a DAC SNR in excess of 89dB. The DACs, ADCs and mixer are integrated with analog I/Os, which include four analog line-level stereo inputs, two analog line-level mono inputs, two stereo outputs, and one mono output channel. The STAC9750/9751 includes digital input/output capability for support of modern PC systems and also an output that supports the SPDIF format.

Tempo Semiconductor's STAC9200 Two Channel HD Audio CODECs are high quality, 2-channel audio CODECs compatible with the Intel High Definition (HD) Audio Interface. The STAC9200 provides Stereo 24-Bit resolution with sample rates up to 192kHz. SPDIF I/O provides connectivity to consumer electronic equipment. The STAC9200 incorporates a proprietary SD technology to achieve an estimated DAC SNR in excess of 100dB. The STAC9200 provides high quality, HD Audio capability to notebook and cost sensitive desktop PC applications.

Tempo Semiconductor's 92HD95B Four Channel HD Audio CODEC provides stereo 24-bit, full duplex resolution supporting sample rates up to 192kHz by the DAC and ADC. SPDIF output supports sample rates of 192kHz, 96kHz, 88.2kHz, 48kHz, and 44.1kHz. Additional sample rates are supported by the driver software. An integrated BTL stereo amplifier is ideal for driving 4ohm or 8ohm integrated speakers in mobile and ultra-mobile computers. For desktop computers or mobile computers using only one speaker, the BTL output stage may be configured to support a single mono speaker. The 92HD95 includes an Integrated Class-G true capless stereo headphone amplifier with charge pump and LDO.

The 92HD87 codec provides high quality, HD Audio capability to notebooks and business desktops. The 92HD87 provides stereo 24-bit, full duplex resolution supporting sample rates up to 192kHz by the DAC and ADC. The 92HD87 supports a wide range of notebook and business desktop 4-channel configurations. An integrated BTL stereo amplifier is ideal for driving an integrated speaker in mobile, ultra-mobile, business or desktop computers.

Tempo Semiconductor's 92HD81B/91B Single Chip PC Audio Systems are a low power optimized, high fidelity, 4-channel audio codec with integrated speaker amplifier, capless headphone amplifier, and low drop out voltage regulator. The high integration of the 92HD81B enables the smallest PCB footprint with the lowest system BOM count and cost. The integrated combo jack of the 92HB91B allows for dual-function headphone and headset detection. Each device includes an integrated high-pass filter that allows for speaker protection. They both provide high quality HD Audio capability to notebook and business desktop PC applications.
