SMT connectors are designed to be surface mounted through a cutout
inside the PCB or through a notch on the edge of the PBC. This design
allows the inverted through board SMT connectors to deliver power to LED
aluminum clad boards from the underside of the PBC. Available in 2, 3,
and 4 positions, these RoHS compliant connectors offer a low profile,
top surface height of 2.00mm above the LED PBC, rounded corners to
prevent shadowing, surface mount board locks for stability during mating
and unmating, and a 70V DC/70V AC voltage rating. TE Connectivity High
Power Inverted Through Board SMT Connectors accept Economy Power II (EP
II) mating connectors. The mating (TE) Economy Power II (EP) plug
connectors are based on a .156” (3.96mm) pitch, rated for 600VAC at up
to 7 AMPs, and accept 22-18 AWG (0.34mm² to 0.75mm²) stranded wire sizes
which are ideal for delivering power to printed circuit boards.

TE Connectivity PolyZen Devices are polymer enhanced precision Zener diode micro-assemblies that help protect sensitive electronics from damage caused by inductive voltage spikes, voltage transients, use of incorrect power supplies and reverse bias. The PolyZen Device from TE Connectivity, composed of a Zener diode and a resistively non-linear, polymeric positive temperature coefficient (PPTC) layer, is a smaller, more consumer driven device that offers a slim profile for single component placement and space restrained applications. These devices help provide resettable protection against damage caused by multi-watt fault events and require only 0.7W power dissipation. When sustained high power conditions emerge, the PPTC element "trips" to limit current and generate voltage drop, a protection mechanism that increases the Zener diode's power handling capacity.
