TAOS TCS230 Programmable Color Light-to-Frequency Converter
TAOS' TCS230 converter’s color-filtered sensors are uniformly distributed across the sensing area, eliminating the need for a light diffuser. The device interfaces directly with a microcontroller or DSP and is available in an 8-pin SoIC package. The output is a square wave and frequency directly proportional to light intensity. The full-scale output frequency can be scaled by one of three pre-set values via two control input pins.
