Syfer PSL Series X7R Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors

Syfer PSL Series X7R Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors (MLCCs) is the first of several lower cost ranges to be released by Syfer. The PSL (Power Supply and LED) range of X7R MLCCs by Syfer is manufactured using Syfer's unique screen printing process and is suitable for power supplies, DC-DC converters, LED lighting, and other demanding applications. Features include capacitance range from 220pF to 1µF, temperature range up to 125ºC, and full compliance with the RoHS and WEEE directives and lead-free solders.

Syfer Ultra-Low ESR MLCC Capacitors

Syfer now offers an ultra-low ESR MLCC capacitor that has a very stable, high Q material system that provides excellent, low loss performance in systems below 3GHz.  The ultra-low ESR MLCC capacitor from Syfer is available with various termination options, including FlexiCap™, and is suitable for many applications where economical, high performance is required. Other features of these MLCCs include capacitance range from 0.5pF to 240pF, high working voltages up to 500Vdc, and high self-resonant frequencies.

Syfer StackiCap™Capacitors

Syfer's new StackiCap™ Capacitors are true SMD stacked capacitors designed without a mounting frame and in smaller case sizes that allow higher voltage and capacitance.  The StackiCap™ SMD Capacitors from Syfer also have a unique patent-pending construction and FlexiCap™ termination material that make this capacitor suitable for a wide range of high voltage applications where a large amount of capacitance is required. One of the major advantages of StackiCap™capacitors is significant size reduction, with a reduction from 8060 to 2220 case, for example. Smaller case sizes make these capacitors very useful when board space is limited, or at a premium.

Syfer ProtectiCap High Voltage Anti-flashover Caps

Syfer ProtectiCap™ High Voltage Anti-flashover Caps are particularly suitable for high voltage applications where small size is required. ProtectiCap™ High Voltage Anti-flashover Caps feature an integral coating that minimizes the risk of flashover without any requirement for the customer to apply conformal coating after soldering. Syfer ProtectiCap™ High Voltage Anti-flashover Caps feature voltage ranges up to 5kV and case sizes from 1206 to 2220. Applications include power supplies, lighting ballasts, inverters/DC link, and general high voltage circuits.

Syfer E01 & E07 Surface Mount EMI Filters - EXPANSION

NEW! Syfer offers E01 & E07 Surface Mount EMI Filters, an extension to the Syfer 3 terminal EMI chip range, which are capable of carrying currents up to 2A. E01 & E07 Surface Mount EMI Filters are suitable for use on DC lines and can prevent the radiation of interference emanating from high speed signal lines and IC's, and also prevent the propagation of high frequency noise on power lines. E01 & E07 Surface Mount EMI Filters from Syfer offer improved high frequency filtering performance as a result of the DC current being fed directly through the EMI chip.

Syfer SBxx Surface Mount EMI filters have X7R and C0G dielectrics, as well as EMI filtering performance up to 1GHz and higher. The SBSP series has a 1 amp rated current, the SBSG series has a 5 amp rated current, and the SBSM series has a 10 amp rated current. These filters are ideal for telecom, power supplies, industrial equipment, and aerospace applications.

Syfer X2Y EMI Chips - EXPANSION

NEW! Now available in higher voltages in chip sizes 1206, 1410, and 1812.

Syfer X2Y EMI chips are 3-terminal EMI chip devices providing simultaneous line-to-line and line-to-ground filtering using a single ceramic chip. Syfer X2Y EMI chips feature differential and common mode attenuation, and eliminate the effects of temperature and voltage variation. Applications include balanced lines, twisted pairs, and DC motors in automotive, audio, sensor, and other applications. Available in voltages from 16Vdc to 500Vdc.

Syfer Feedthrough EMI Filters

Syfer Feedthrough EMI Filters offer an extensive range, covering threaded and solder-in panel mounting versions, and an ever-expanding range of surface mount types. Syfer Feedthrough EMI Filters are designed using a multilayer ceramic element, and manufactured using a unique 'Wet Process'. Dielectric materials used in these Feedthrough EMI Filters include the ultra stable C0G and stable X7R types, which ensure excellent insertion loss performance is provided up to full rated voltage and to the extremes of rated temperature. Capacitance values up to 2.2μF are offered, with working voltages up to 3kVdc.

Syfer 250Vac Non-Safety Rated AC Capacitors

The 250Vac Non-Safety Rated AC Capacitors from Syfer are designed for up to 250Vac/60Hz continuous use and for non safety-critical applications where extended capacitance ranges are required. Syfer's 250Vac non-safety rated AC capacitors are available in case sizes 0805 to 2220 in both X7R and C0G/NPO dielectrics with capacitances up to 120nF. The capacitance ranges for these capacitors are divided into four groups which are based on the voltage coefficient of capacitance: C0G/NPO which has negligible capacitance shift with applied voltage and three subgroups of X7R.

Syfer Surge Protection / Safety Capacitors

Syfer's Surge Protection and Safety Capacitors comply with international UL and TÜV specifications to offer designers the option of using a surface mount ceramic multilayer capacitor to replace leaded film types. With simple pick-and-place assembly, reduced board space, and lower profile, the Syfer's Surge Protection and Safety Capacitors are approved for voltages up to 250Vac and are available in a FlexiCap™ version to reduce the risk of mechanical cracking.

* Syfer's MLCC Safety Capacitors meet Class Y2/X1 and X2 requirements.

Syfer FlexiCap SMD MLCC Capacitors

Syfer FlexiCapSMD MLCC Capacitors were developed with a proprietary flexible termination material to accommodate a greater degree of board bending than conventional capacitors. It provides increased reliability and superior mechanical performance, as well as an increased tolerance to temperature cycling of -55ºC to 125ºC in excess of 1,000 times without cracking. The Syfer FlexiCap termination has won the Queen's Award for Innovation in England and recently qualified for space applications. There should be no requirement to change the assembly process when converting to the FlexiCapSMD MLCC Capacitors.

Syfer High Q Capacitors

The Syfer High Q Capacitors are available in a wide range of sizes from 0402 to 3640 with various termination options including FlexiCap™. The High Q material is very stable and provides excellent, low loss performance in systems below 3GHz, as well as features a high "Q" factor at high frequencies, high RF power capabilities, low ESR, high self-resonant frequencies, and provides excellent capacitance stability across a wide temperature range (-55°C to 125°C). The Syfer high frequency High Q Capacitors are suitable for many applications where economical, high performance is required, such as tuners, mixers, filters, oscillators, RF power amplifiers, and tuning networks. Syfer also offers square chips in 0505 and 1111 sizes, among others.
