Supertex MD3872 Front-End Ultrasound Receiver Demoboard

Supertex MD3872DB1 provides a very useful platform to evaluate this low power and low noise 12-bit resolution ADC ultrasound front-end receiver. Simply connect a 5V power supply to the board and a USB cable to your computer. The on-board MD3872 and T/R switch ICs, TGC, DAC, FPGA, de-serialized LVDS, clock generator, DDR2 data memory, isolated USB interface, JTAG SPI Connector, RS232 serial interface and low noise DC/DC power supplies make a stand alone, desktop 8-channel ultrasound receiver data acquisition evaluation system. Package includes the demoboard power supply cable, USB Cable, software driver and PC user interface software files. All files including the EEPROM file, FPGA configuration file and PC user interface software are available online for updating if necessary.

Supertex HV7360 High Speed Ultrasound Pulser

Supertex HV7360 is a high voltage, high-speed, pulse generator with built-in, fast return to zero damping FETs. Supertex HV7360 high voltage and high-speed integrated circuit is designed for portable medical ultrasound image devices, but can also can be used for NDT and test equipment applications. The HV7360 consists of a controller logic interface circuit, level translators, AC coupled MOSFET gate drivers and high voltage and high current P-channel and N-channel MOSFETs as the output stage. The peak output currents of each channel are guaranteed to be over ±2.5A with up to ±100V of pulse swing. The AC coupling topology for the gate drivers not only saves two floating voltage supplies, it also makes the PCB layout easier.

Supertex HV7351 Eight Channel Ultrasound Beamformer

Supertex HV7351 delivers an 8-channel programmable high voltage ultrasound transmit beamformer. Each channel is capable of swinging up to ±70V with an active discharge back to 0V. The outputs can source and sink more than 3.0A to achieve fast output rise and fall times. The active discharge is also capable of sourcing and sinking 3.0A for a fast return to ground. The topology of the HV7351 will significantly reduce the number of I/O logic control lines needed. Each pulser has four associated 64-bit shift registers for storing pre-determined transmit patterns and a 10-bit delay counter for controlling the transmit time. One of four arbitrary patterns can be transmitted with adjustable delay, depending on the data loaded into these shift registers and the delay counter. The delay counter can be clocked up to 200MHz, allowing incremental delays down to 5ns.

Supertex HV7355 Eight Channel Ultrasound Pulser

Supertex HV7355 offers an eight-channel, unipolar, high voltage, high-speed pulse generator. Supertex HV7355 is designed for medical ultrasound applications. This high voltage and high speed integrated circuit can also be used for other piezoelectric, capacitive or MEMS sensors in ultrasonic nondestructive detection and sonar ranger applications. The HV7355 consists of a controller logic interface circuit, level translators, MOSFET gate drivers and high current P-channel and N-channel MOSFETs as the output stage for each channel. The output stages of each channel are designed to provide peak output currents over ± 1.5A for pulsing, when MC = 1, with up to 150V swings. When MC = 0, all the output stages drop the peak current to ± 500mA for low-voltage CW mode operation to save power. This direct coupling topology of the gate driver not only saves one high voltage capacitor per channel, but also makes the PCB layout easier.

Supertex HV9910C Universal High Brightness LED Driver

Supertex HV9910C Universal High Brightness LED Driver is an open loop, current mode, control LED driver IC. The HV9910C can be programmed to operate in either a constant frequency or constant off-time mode. Since the HV9910C operates in open loop current mode control, the controller achieves good output current regulation without the need for any loop compensation. Also, being an open loop controller, PWM dimming response is limited only by the rate of rise of the inductor current, enabling a very fast rise and fall times of the LED current. The HV9910C requires only three external components (apart from the power stage) to produce a controlled LED current making it an ideal solution for low cost LED drivers.

Supertex HV2605/HV2705 16-Channel Analog Switches

Supertex HV2605/HV2705 16-Channel Analog Switches are low charge injection, 16-channel, high voltage analog switch integrated circuits (ICs) intended for use in applications requiring high voltage switching controlled by low voltage control signals, such as medical ultrasound imaging and other piezoelectric transducer drivers. Input data is shifted into a 16-bit shift register that can then be retained in a 16-bit latch. To reduce any possible clock feed through noise, the latch enable bar should be left high until all bits are clocked in. Data is clocked in during the rising edge of the clock. Using HVCMOS technology, these devices combine high voltage bilateral DMOS switches and low power CMOS logic to provide efficient control of high voltage analog signals.

Supertex Ultrasound T/R Switch ICs

Supertex Ultrasound T/R Switch ICs deliver high voltage current limiting protection. Supertex Ultrasound T/R Switch ICs are designed to protect a low noise receiver from the high voltage transmit pulses in ultrasound applications and is commonly referred to as a T/R (transmit and receive) switch. Ultrasound T/R Switch ICs can be considered as a normally closed switch with a typical switch resistance of 15Ω, allowing small signals to pass. Once the voltage drop across the two terminals exceeds a nominal voltage, the device will start to turn off. In the off state, the MD0105, MD0200, and MD0201 can withstand up to ±130V across its terminals, while the MD0101 can withstand ±100V A small amount of current, typically 200μA, is allowed to flow through. Ultrasound T/R Switch ICs are not limited to just ultrasound applications. They can also be used for resettable fuses to protect power lines, output short circuit protection, and data acquisition.

Supertex HV9803 LED Driver IC

The Supertex HV9803 LED Driver IC is an open loop average-mode current control LED driver IC operating in a constant off-time mode. The Supertex HV9803 LED Driver IC features ±2% current accuracy, tight line and load regulation of the LED current without any need for loop compensation or high-side current sensing. Its auto-zero circuit cancels the effect of both the input offset voltage and the propagation delay in the current sense comparator. The HV9803 can be powered from a 7.0~13.2V supply. The IC features fast PWM dimming response. The linear dimming input LD can accept a reference voltage up to 2.5V. The IC is equipped with a current limit comparator for hiccup-mode output short circuit protection. It also features a programmable input under-voltage shutdown.

Supertex FP0030 / FP0060 / FP0100 Low-Voltage Protection Switches

Supertex FP0030 / FP0060 / FP0100 low-voltage protection switches are low on-resistance devices for protecting against high transient voltages, preventing component damage, or saving downstream circuitry. Supertex FP0030 is a 20V current limiting protection device for preventing high transient voltages in Ethernet systems. Supertex FP0060 is a 60V low voltage AC protection switch with a current fold-back feature to protect solenoid valve controls against component damage. FP0100 100V fault protection switch with current fold-back guards against over-current or short circuit conditions in a system's output power supplies.

Supertex CL880x Sequential Linear LED Drivers

Supertex CL880x Sequential Linear LED Drivers are designed to drive long strings of low cost, low current LEDs in solid-state replacements for fluorescent tubes, incandescent bulbs, and CFL bulbs. Both ICs minimize driver circuit component counts, requiring just four or six resistors and a diode bridge in addition to the IC. Two to four additional components in the circuit provide transient protection, and neither capacitors nor magnetic components are required. Because the ICs are multi-stage linear current regulators, there are no high frequency switching currents and, thus, no need for a front-end EMI filter. CL8800 is intended for 230VAC input, while CL8801 is for 120VAC input. Luminous efficiencies of greater than 115lm/W are achievable with both Supertex CL880x Sequential Linear LED Drivers.

Supertex HV9989 3-Channel CCM/DCM Boost LED Driver w/ Sub-Microsecond PWM Dimming

Supertex HV9989 3-Channel CCM/DCM Boost LED Driver w/ Sub-Microsecond PWM Dimming is a three-channel peak current mode PWM controller for driving single switch converters in a constant output current mode. It can be used for driving either RGB LEDs or multiple channels of white LEDs. The Supertex HV9989 3-Channel CCM/DCM Boost LED Driver features the PWM dimming control algorithm achieving a dimming pulse of a few hundred nanoseconds from a continuous-conduction mode (CCM) or discontinuous-conduction mode (DCM) boost converter, while maintaining the instantaneous LED constant current determined by the external reference voltage input. This feature permits dimming frequency outside of the audible range and can also yield a wide dimming ratio in excess of 10,000:1 at low dimming frequency. Each of the three channels features individual PWM dimming and reference voltage inputs. The HV9989 also provides a full protection feature set, including output-short and open-circuit protection, for each individual channel that is independent from the other channels.

Supertex xx9xxxxDB1 LED Driver Demoboards

Supertex xx9xxxxDB1 LED Driver Demoboards include the HV9967BDB1 and HV9861ADB1 high-brightness LED driver demoboards and the AT9919BDB1 high current LED driver demoboard. HV9967BDB1 uses the Supertex's HV9967B in a buck configuration in a constant off-time mode to drive 4 LEDs in series at currents up to 350mA from a 20 - 60V DC input. Both of the high-brightness LED driver demoboards feature tight regulation of the LED current within a few milliamps over the entire range of the input voltage. The LED current accuracy is almost insensitive to the passive component tolerances, such as the output filter inductance or the timing resistor. The AT9919BDB1 uses Supertex's AT9919 hysteretic buck LED driver IC to drive one LED at 1.0A from a 9.0 - 16VDC input.

For the HV9967BDB1 and HV9861ADB1, PWM dimming can be achieved by applying a pulse-width-modulated square wave signal between the PWMD and GND pins. For the AT9919BDB1, there are two PWM dimming modes. The analog control of the PWM dimming mode allows the user to dim the LED using a 0 - 2.0V analog signal applied between the ADIM and GND pins. The digital control of PWM dimming mode allows the user to dim the LEDs using an external, TTL-compatible square wave source applied between DIM and GND.

Supertex HV881DB1 16-Channel EL Lamp Driver Demoboard

Supertex HV881DB1 16-Channel EL Lamp Driver Demoboard contains the necessary circuitry to demonstrate the features of the 16 channel EL lamp driver board HV881. In order to drive the EL lamps, an I2C interface needs to be provided to the board along with a power supply. The Supertex HV881DB1 16-Channel EL Lamp Driver Demoboard has been optimized to drive 16 EL lamps, each of size 0.15in2 (approx capacitance 500pF). Each of the EL lamps' brightness can be controlled independently using the I2C interface.

Supertex HV9967B Integrated Average-Mode Current Control LED Drivers

Supertex HV9967B Integrated LED Drivers are average-mode current control LED driver ICs operating in a constant off-time mode. These LED driver ICs each feature an integrated 60V, 0.8Ω MOSFET that can be used as a stand-alone buck converter switch, or connected as a source driver for driving an external high-voltage depletion-mode MOSFET. Supertex HV9967B Integrated Average-Mode Current Control LED Drivers are powered through the switching output when the integrated switch is off. Hence, the same external MOSFET can be used as a high-voltage linear regulator for powering the IC. The LED current is programmed with one external resistor. The average-mode current control method does not produce a peak-to-average error, and therefore greatly improves current accuracy and line and load regulation of the LED current without any need for loop compensation or direct sensing of the LED current at a high-voltage potential. The auto-zero circuit cancels the effects of the input offset voltage and of the propagation delay of the current sense comparator.

Supertex CL7 Linear Constant Current LED Driver with Enable

Supertex CL7 Linear Constant Current LED Driver with Enable is a linear fixed current regulator designed for driving high brightness LEDs at 100mA from nominal 12V, 24V, and 48V power supplies. With a maximum rating of 90V, Supertex CL7 Linear Constant Current LED Driver is able to withstand transients without the need for additional transient protection circuitry. An active low enable input allows logic level control of the LED for on/off control or PWM dimming. The enable input has 100kΩ pull-down resistance. Overtemperature protection shuts off the LED current when the die temperature rises above 135°C (nominal). Full LED current resumes when the die temperature falls below 105°C (nominal).

Supertex CL52x Linear Fixed Constant Current LED Drivers

Supertex CL52x Linear Fixed Constant Current LED Drivers are fixed, linear current regulators designed for driving LEDs at 20mA or 25mA. With a maximum rating of 90V, they are able to withstand transients without the need for additional transient protection circuitry. Supertex CL52x Linear Fixed Constant Current LED Drivers are ideally suited for applications employing single or multiple LEDs. The minimum dropout voltage of 1.0V accomodates extra LEDs, permits lower supply voltages, and provides more efficient operation.

Supertex CL25 Temperature Compensated Constant Current LED Driver

Supertex CL25 Temperature Compensated Constant Current LED Driver is a high voltage, temperature compensated, constant current source. This LED driver is trimmed to provide a constant current of 25mA ±10% at an input voltage of 5.0 - 90V, with no external components required. Supertex CL25 Temperature Compensated Constant Current LED Driver can be used as a two-terminal constant current source or constant current sink. A typical application for the CL25 is to drive LEDs with a constant current of 25mA. Multiple CL2s can also be used in parallel to provide higher currents such as 50mA, 75mA, or 100mA.

Supertex CL220 LED Drivers

Supertex's CL220 LED Drivers are designed to drive a string of LEDs with a constant current of 20mA, and multiple ICs can be used in parallel to provide higher output currents in increments of 20mA. The CL220 LED Drivers can be used in a variety of solid-state lighting applications, such as signage, automotive, industrial indicators and accent lighting. Supertex's CL220 LED Drivers operates from 5 to 220V, and is trimmed to provide a constant output current of 20mA (+/-10%) at an input voltage of 5 to 160V.

Supertex HV9861A Average-Mode Constant Current Control LED Drivers

Supertex HV9861A Average-Mode Constant Current Control LED Drivers are patented LED driver ICs operating in a constant off-time mode. These control ICs do not produce a peak-to-average error, and therefore greatly improve the accuracy, line, and load regulation of the LED current without any need for loop compensation or highside current sensing. The output LED current accuracy is ±3%. Supertex HV9861A Average-Mode Constant Current Control LED Drivers are each equipped with a current limit comparator for hiccup-mode output short circuit protection. Internal over-temperature protection is provided. The internally regulated voltage (VDD) for the HV9861A is 7.5V.

Supertex HV9861A Average-Mode Constant Current Control LED Drivers can be powered from a 12 - 450V supply. A PWM dimming input is provided that accepts an external control TTL-compatible signal. The output current can be programmed by an internal 270mV reference, or controlled externally through a 0 - 1.5V dimming input. These ICs are pin-to-pin compatible with the Supertex HV9910B and HV9961, and can be used as a drop-in replacement for many applications to improve the LED current accuracy and regulation.

Supertex HV9801A Switch Dimmable LED Drivers

Supertex HV9801A Switch Dimmable LED Drivers are ideally suited for switch dimmable applications using LED bulbs and fixtures. Through switch dimming, the lamp can be adjusted to four discrete brightness levels by rapid cycling of the light switch. The brightness levels are traversed in an up and down manner. Brightness resumes at the highest level when power is removed for more than a second. Supertex HV9801A Switch Dimmable LED Drivers can be powered directly from rectified AC through an internal VDD regulator rated at 450V.

Supertex HV9971 Isolated, Constant-Current LED Driver ICs

Supertex HV9971 isolated, constant-current LED driver ICs provide a current accuracy of ±3%, achieving tight regulation of an LED current. HV9971 peak-current mode PWM ICs control constant current output of a discontinuous conduction mode flyback converter. This Supertex LED driver enables solid-state lighting fixtures to meet UL compliance for galvanic isolation. It accepts AC input voltages of 80 to 264V and is optimized for operation at a constant frequency of 100kHz. This Supertex device maintains current accuracy while the IC is insensitive to external component tolerances and does not require an optocoupler. HV9771 LED driver ICs are ideally suited for driving high-brightness LEDs.
