STMicroelectronics SPEAr® Embedded MPUsSTMicroelectronics SPEAr® embedded microprocessors (eMPUs) are highly integrated, 32-bit ARM926EJ-S based devices for cost-sensitive applications requiring significant processing and connectivity capabilities at low power consumption. STMicroelectronics SPEAr eMPUs offer state-of-the-art architecture, silicon technology, and intellectual property and target networked devices used for communication, display, and control. These STMicroelectronics eMPUs feature a high-performance 8-channel Direct Memory Access (DMA), dynamic power saving features, 350 to 3000 Dhrystone MIPS (DMIPS), complex peripherals, and external DDR1, DDR2, or DDR3 memories. The SPEAr family includes the SPEAr600 dual core devices. Evaluation boards are also available to quickly evaluate and debug software for SPEAr eMPUs.

STMicroelectronics SPEAr® Evaluation Boards
STMicroelectronics SPEAr evaluation boards allow you to evaluate and debug software for SPEAr eMPUs. These STMicroelectronics SPEAr evaluation boards act as a learning tool to rapidly familiarize you with the features of these embedded microprocessors. These boards also serve as the starting point for the development of a final application board. Each SPEAr evaluation board comes equipped with all the interfaces offered by the corresponding SPEAr eMPU.
