STMicroelectronics STWD100 Watchdog Timer Circuits are self-contained devices which prevent system failures that are caused by certain types of hardware errors (non-responding peripherals, bus contention, etc.) or software errors (bad code jump, code stuck in loop, etc.). The STWD100 watchdog timer has an input, WDI, and an output, WDO. The input is used to clear the internal watchdog timer periodically within the specified timeout period, twd. While the system is operating correctly, it periodically toggles the watchdog input, WDI. If the system fails, the watchdog timer is not reset, a system alert is generated and the watchdog output, WDO, is asserted.

STMicroelectronics VND5Txx Automotive Double Channel High-Side Drivers are devices that are made using STMicroelectronics® VIPower® technology, intended for driving resistive or inductive loads with one side connected to ground. Active VCC pin voltage clamp protects the devices against low energy spikes. These devices integrate an analog current sense which delivers a current proportional to the load current. Fault conditions such as overload, overtemperature or short to VCC are reported via the current sense pin. Output current limitation protects these devices in overload condition. These devices will latch off in case of overload or thermal shutdown. These high-side drivers are reset by a low level pass on the fault reset standby pin. A permanent low level on the inputs and fault reset standby pin disables all outputs and sets the devices in standby mode.

STMicroelectronics SPIRIT1 is a very low-power RF transceiver intended for RF wireless applications in the sub-1GHz band. SPIRIT1 is designed to operate both in the license-free ISM and SRD frequency bands at 169, 315, 433, 868, and 915MHz. This STMicroelectronics RF transceiver can also be programmed to operate at other additional frequencies in the 300-348MHz, 387-470MHz, and 779-956MHz bands. The air data rate is programmable from 1 to 500kbps. SPIRIT1 can be used in systems with channel spacing of 12.5/25kHz, complying with the EN 300 220 standard. This STMicroelectronics transceiver supports an embedded CSMA/CA engine. An AES 128-bit encryption co-processor is available for secure data transfer. The SPIRIT1 fully supports antenna diversity with an integrated antenna switching control algorithm.
STMicroelectronics LPS331 MEMS Pressure Sensor
STMicroelectronics' LPS331 MEMS Pressure Sensor is an ultra compact absolute piezoresistive pressure sensor. It includes a monolithic sensing element and an IC interface able to take the information from the sensing element and to provide a digital signal to the external world. The sensing element consists of a suspended membrane realized inside a single mono-silicon substrate. It is capable to detecting pressure and is manufactured using a dedicated process developed by ST, called VENSENS. The VENSENS process allows them to build a monosilicon membrane above an air cavity with controlled gap and defined pressure. The membrane is very small compared to the traditionally built silicon micromachined membranes. Membrane breakage is prevented by an intrinsic mechanical stopper. The IC interface is manufactured using a standard CMOS process that allows a high level of integration to design a dedicated circuit which is trimmed to better match the sensing element characteristics.
