SMSC LAN9500 Ethernet Controller

The SMSC LAN9500 Hi-Speed USB 2.0 to 10/100 Ethernet Controller provides a high-performance, cost-competitive USB to Ethernet connectivity solution containing an integrated 10/100 Ethernet PHY, Hi-Speed USB 2.0 PHY, Hi-Speed USB 2.0 controller, 10/100 Ethernet MAC, TAP controller, EEPROM controller, and FIFO Controller in a compact 56-pin QFN package. The SMSC LAN9500 supports ±8KV HBM and ±15KV air discharge ESD protection and requires only a single 25 MHz crystal. The LAN9500 includes an external MII and Turbo MII interface that provide support for a variety of devices with MII interface.

SMSC LAN922x Single-Chip Ethernet Controllers

The SMSC LAN922x single-chip 10/100 Ethernet Controller family is designed for embedded applications where performance, flexibility, ease of integration, and system cost control are required. The SMSC LAN9221 Ethernet Controller is designed to provide high performance and throughput for 16-bit applications, is IEEE 802.3 10BASE-T and 802.3u 100BASE-TX compliant and supports HP Auto-MDIX. The variable voltage I/O signals of the LAN9221 accommodate lower voltage I/O signaling without the need for voltage level shifters.

The SMSC LAN931x embedded Ethernet switch family supports the growth of networked devices in home consumer electronics. SMSC LAN931x switches supply system designers with 2/3-port switching technology to solve network connectivity requirements using both 16/32-bit non-PCI and MII interfaces in a 128-pin VTQFP package. The SMSC LAN931x family incorporates IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol to support time-critical industrial applications.
