Silicon Labs TS33x DC-DC Converters

Silicon Labs' DC-DC Converters are ultra-efficient boost converters, ideal for low power applications. The low power TS3310 boost switching regulator has an industry leading low quiescent current of 150nA. The 150nA is the actual current consumed from the battery while the output is in regulation. The device's extremely low power internal circuitry consumes 90nA on average, with periodic switching cycles which service the load occurring at intervals of up to 25 seconds, together yielding the average 150nA. The dc-dc converter steps up input voltages from 0.9V to 3.6V to eight selectable output voltages ranging from 1.8V to 5V. The TS3300 includes an anti-crush™ feature to prevent the collapse of the input voltage to the boost regulator when the input is a weak (high impedance) source. Anti-crush™ is useful in applications where a buffer capacitor at the boost's output can service burst loads, and the input source exhibits substantial source impedance (such as an old battery, or at cold temperatures).

Silicon Labs TS110x Precision Current-Sense Amplifier

Silicon Labs' TS110x Precision Current-Sense Amplifiers are unidirectional and bi-directional, voltage-output current-sense amplifiers. Low offset voltage and low gain accuracy enable high measurement accuracy. Consuming a very low 1 µA supply current, these high-side current-sense amplifiers exhibit a 100-µV (max) VOS and a 0.6% (max) gain error, both specifications are optimized for precision current measurement. For all high-side bidirectional current-sensing applications, the current sense amplifier devices are self-powered and feature a wide input common-mode voltage range from 2V to 25V.

Silicon Labs C8051F97x Low Power MCUs

Silicon Labs C8051F97x Low Power Capacitive Sensing Microcontrollers are the industry's most energy-efficient ultra-low-power cap sensing 8-bit MCUs for touch control. C8051F97x MCU family combines Silicon Labs' proven low power technology for the longest battery life of any MCU in its class with the industry's highest performance and lowest power capacitive sensing solution to address the rapidly-growing human interface application market. Silicon Labs C8051F97x MCU family expands the capabilities of the popular C8051F99x low power capacitive sense family with up to 43 capacitive sensing inputs, 32KB flash, 8KB RAM, 7 DMA channels and a 16x16 MAC in packages as small as 4mm x 4mm. C8051F97x offers the industry's leading capacitive sensing with <1µA wake on touch average current and industry leading 100:1 capacitive sensing dynamic range to support buttons, sliders, touch pads, and capacitive proximity sensing. The Simplicity Studio development environment and an unlimited code size Keil compiler are offered for free. An integrated IDE, demos, examples and the Capacitive Sense Profiler are offered with Simplicity Studio to simplify the development of capacitive touch sensing solutions.

Silicon Labs SI5338 Clock Generator

Silicon Labs Si5338 is a high-performance, low-jitter clock generator capable of synthesizing any frequency on each of the device's four output drivers. This timing IC is capable of replacing up to four different frequency crystal oscillators or operating as a frequency translator. Using its patented MultiSynth™ technology, the Si5338 allows generation of four independent clocks with 0ppm precision. Each output clock is independently configurable to support various signal formats and supply voltages. The Si5338 provides low-jitter frequency synthesis in a space-saving 4 x 4mm QFN package. The device is programmable via an I²C/SMBus-compatible serial interface and supports operation from a 1.8, 2.5, or 3.3V core supply.

Silicon Labs Si5334 Clock Generator

Silicon Labs Si5334 is a high performance, low jitter clock generator capable of synthesizing any frequency on each of the device's four differential output clocks. The device accepts an external reference clock or crystal and generates four differential clock outputs, each of which is independently configurable to any frequency up to 350MHz and select frequencies to 710MHz. Using Silicon Labs' patented MultiSynth technology, each output clock is generated with very low jitter and zero ppm frequency error. To provide additional design flexibility, each output clock is independently configurable to support any signal format and reference voltage. The Si5334 provides low jitter frequency synthesis with outstanding frequency flexibility in a space-saving 4 x 4mm QFN package. The device configuration is factory or field programmed and, upon power up, the device will begin operation in the predefined configuration without user intervention. The device supports operation from a 1.8, 2.5, or 3.3V core supply.

Silicon Labs Si3239x Analog Interface ProSLIC

Silicon Labs Si3239x Analog Interface ProSLIC are ideal for customer premise equipment, such as voice-over-IP-embedded multimedia terminal adaptors (EMTAs) and GPON or EPON optical network terminal (ONT) gateways. The Si32391 is a single channel analog interface SLIC solution and the Si32392 is a dual channel analog interface SLIC. Each device's ringing and dc feed voltages are designed to support short and medium loop lengths with a battery supply voltage rating of up to -136V. Additionally, they enable key line-test functions for remote diagnostics. 

Silicon Labs Ember EM358x ARM SoC with Integrated Zigbee

Silicon Labs Ember EM358x ARM SoC with Integrated Zigbee is an ARM® Cortex-M3 processor System on Chip with a 2.4GHz IEEE 802.15.4 radio transceiver, Flash memory, RAM, and powerful hardware supported network-level debugging features. Combined with the powerful ecosystem of ARM tools, these devices and tools enable OEMs to simplify development and accelerate time to market. The EM358x SoCs are tightly integrated with EmberZNet PRO, a ZigBee compliant mesh networking software which is the most deployed ZigBee platform in the market.

Silicon Labs Si50x CMEMS Oscillators

Silicon Labs Si50x CMEMS® Oscillators provide monolithic, MEMS-based IC replacements for traditional crystal oscillators. Silicon Labs' CMEMS technology combines standard CMOS + MEMS in a single, monolithic IC to provide integrated, high-quality and high-reliability oscillators. The Si50x CMEMS oscillators leverage this technology to provide excellent reliability, stability and minimal aging for the general purpose oscillator market. The configurable part family provides ±20 ppm stability over the industrial temperature range for 10 years, guaranteed. The Si50x family offers a low-cost, low-power general purpose oscillators to the industrial, embedded and consumer electronics markets.

Silicon Labs UV Optical Sensor ICs

Silicon Labs' UV Optical Sensor IC family enables sensing UV Index, ambient light, long range proximity, heart rate/pulse oximetry and motion with 2D or 3D gestures. Silicon Labs Si70xx Relative Humidity & Temperature Sensors

Silicon Labs’ Si70xx Relative Humidity & Temperature Sensors utilize proven techniques for measuring humidity using polymer dielectric film along with CMOS mixed signal integrated circuits. These monolithic ICs combine fully calibrated humidity and temperature sensing elements, an I2C interface and on-chip signal conditioning into a compact, rugged and reliable package. The 1st Generation Relative Humidity and Temperature Sensors include the Si7015 which is a digital relative humidity and temperature sensor that integrates humidity and temperature sensor elements, an analog-to-digital converter and signal processing in a single monolithic CMOS sensor IC. The 2nd Generation includes the Si701x/2x devices that combine fully factory-calibrated humidity and temperature sensor elements with an analog-to-digital converter, signal processing and an I2C host interface.

The EFM32 MCUs are the world's most energy friendly microcontrollers. With a unique combination of the powerful 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0+, innovative low energy techniques, short wake-up time from energy saving modes, and a wide selection of peripherals, the EFM32ZG microcontroller is well suited for any battery operated application as well as other systems requiring high performance and low-energy consumption.

Silicon Labs EFM32™ Wonder Gecko 32-bit Microcontrollers

Silicon Labs EFM32™ Wonder Gecko 32-bit Microcontrollers are MCUs based on the ARM® Cortex®-M4 core, which provides a full DSP instruction set and includes a hardware FPU for faster computation performance. Wonder Gecko MCUs feature up to 256kB of flash memory, 32kB of RAM and CPU speeds up to 48MHz. These MCUs incorporate highly differentiated Gecko technology to minimize energy consumption, including a flexible range of standby and sleep modes, intelligent peripherals that allow designers to implement many functions without CPU wake-up and ultra-low standby current. Silicon Labs Si823x Isolated Drivers

Silicon Labs' Si823x Isolated Drivers combines two independent, isolated drivers into a single package. The Si8230/1/3/4 are high-side/low-side drivers, and the Si8232/5/6/7/8 are dual drivers. Versions with peak output currents of 0.5A (Si8230/1/2/7) and 4.0A (Si8233/4/5/6/8) are available. All drivers operate with a maximum supply voltage of 24V. The Si823x drivers utilize Silicon Labs' proprietary silicon isolation technology, which provides up to 5kVRMS withstand voltage per UL1577 and fast 60ns propagation times. Driver outputs can be grounded to the same or separate grounds or connected to a positive or negative voltage. The TTL level compatible inputs with >400mV hysteresis are available in individual control input (Si8230/2/3/5/6/7/8) or PWM input (Si8231/4) configurations. High integration, low propagation delay, small installed size, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness make the Si823x family ideal for a wide range of isolated MOSFET/IGBT gate drive applications.

Silicon Labs Digital Isolators

Silicon Labs CMOS digital isolators are mixed-signal IC solutions that leverage Silicon Labs' superior isolation and high voltage expertise to enhance power system performance, flexibility, and reliability while reducing system size and cost. The entire isolation portfolio supports isolation voltages up to 5kV. Silicon Labs Si84xx digital isolators are the industry's highest-performance, easiest-to-use, and lowest-cost line of 2.5 to 5kVrms rated digital isolators.
