Texas Instruments TSC2020 Touch Screen Controllers
Texas Instruments analog matrix TSC2020 touch screen controllers are very low power, resistive devices designed to work with power-sensitive, handheld applications based on advanced low-voltage processors. The TI TSC2020 supports up to 3.5-inch analog matrix sensors with 3x5 multiple touch resolution and 12-bit global resolution. TSC2020 touch screen controllers support both finger and stylus and feature ratiometric conversion. These TI devices contain a complete, ultra-low power 12-bit analog-to-digital converter, including sensor drivers and the control logic to measure touch pressure. Unlike other resistive touch screen controllers, the TSC2020 is capable of detecting at least three touches simultaneously and delivers a very low power standby touch detection scheme. This flexibility allows for many new applications that require multiple touches but must remain at low power.
