The new Tyco Electronics / AMP IP67 Metal Shell Industrial Ethernet Connector is ODVA-compliant and ideally suited for rugged environments requiring extra mechanical robustness, such as industrial machinery, diagnostic equipment, and outdoor equipment. A quick-turn bayonet coupling and positive locking ring, which meet the requirement of IEC 61076-3-106 Variant 1, help provide reliable connections under the harshest conditions. The IP67 sealing gives added protection from liquids, gases, and other contaminants. In addition, the HBT sealing gaskets are UV resistant and the connectors have an operating temperature range from -40°C to +85ºC. Tyco Electronics / AMP offers the 8-position plug and receptacle connectors either shielded or unshielded, with end caps available to protect unmated connectors.
