Maxim Output Isolated Power Supply Reference Designs
Maxim's MAXREFDES7, MAXREFDES8, MAXREFDES9, MAXREFDES33 and MAXREFDES60 are each output isolated power supply related reference designs. The MAXREFDES7 Lakewood uses an H-bridge transformer driver and a pair of low dropout linear regulators to create a ±12V (±15V) output isolated power supply from a 3.3V voltage input. The MAXREFDES8 Riverside uses an H-bridge transformer driver and a low dropout linear regulator to create a 12V (15V) output isolated power supply from a 3.3V voltage input. The MAXREFDES9 Oceanside uses a step-up controller, a 36V H-bridge transformer driver, and a pair of low dropout linear regulators to create a ±15V (±12V) output isolated power supply from a wide range of input voltages. The MAXREFDES33 Palo Verde is a demonstration board for the MAX15062A 60V, 300mA synchronous step-down converter. Each of these reference designs are a general purpose power solution that can be used in many different types of isolated power applications, but are mainly targeted for industrial sensors, industrial automation, process control, and medical applications.
