The Avago Technologies ALM-2712 ultra low-noise GPS front-end module combines a low-noise amplifier (LNA) with GPS FBAR filters. The LNA included in the ALM-2712 GPS front-end module uses the proprietary Avago Technologies GaAs Enhancement-mode pHEMT process to achieve high gain with very low noise figure and high linearity. Noise figure distribution is tightly controlled. A CMOS shutdown pin is included for turning on / off the LNA or adjusting current. The integrated filter of the ALM-2712 GPS front-end module uses a leading Avago Technologies FBAR filter for exceptional rejection at cellular, DCS, PCS, and WLAN band frequencies. The low noise figure and high gain coupled with low current consumption make the Avago Technologies ALM-2712 suitable for use in critical low-power GPS applications or during low-battery situations.
