The Fairchild Semiconductor FXLA104 and FXLA108 automatic direction voltage translators provide built-in automatic direction control that allows the translator to sense and control the direction data should flow without a direction control pin. These Fairchild Semiconductor configurable dual-voltage supply translators work for both uni-directional and bi-directional voltage translation between two logic levels and allow translation between voltages as high as 3.6V to as low as 1.1V. The Fairchild Semiconductor FXLA104 is a 4-bit translator ideal for designs needing four bits, such as cell phones. The FXLA108 is an 8-bit translator optimal for notebook applications. Both translators have a capacitance of less than 10pf, easing current flow and lowering power consumption.
