Exar XRT83VL38 / XRT86VX38 8-Channel LIUs
The Exar XRT83VL38 is a fully integrated 8-channel long-haul and short-haul line interface unit (LIU) for T1 (1.544 Mbps) 100Ω, E1 (2.048 Mbps) 75Ω or 120Ω, J1 110Ω, or BITS Timing applications. The Exar XRT86VX38 is an 8-channel 1.55 Mbps or 2.048 Mbps DS1 / E1 / J1 framer and long-haul and short-haul LIU featuring R³ technology and BITS Timing element. The Exar XRT83VL38 LIU features an Adaptive Receive Equalizer for up to 36dB cable attenuation, Programable Transmit Pulse Shaper for E1,T1, or J1 short-haul interfaces, five fixed transmit pulse settings for T1 short-haul applications, plus a fully programmable waveform generator for transmit output pulse shaping available for both T1 and E1 modes. The XRT86VX38 framer and LIU supports Section 13 - Synchronization Interface in ITU G.703 for both Transmit and Receive Paths, SSM Synchronous Messaging Generation (BOC for T1, National Bits for E1) on the Transmit Path, SSM Synchronous Messaging Extraction (BOC for T1, National Bits for E1) on the Receive Path, BITS timing generation on the Transmit Outputs, and BITS timing extraction from NRZ data on the Analog Receive Path.
