Exar XR17V352 / XR17V354 / XR17V358 PCIe UART
The Exar XR17V352, XR17V354, and XR17V358 single-chip, 2-, 4-, and 8-channel PCI Express (PCIe) UART series is optimized for higher performance and low power. The Exar XR17V352 PCIe UART serves as a single-lane PCIe bridge to two independent enhanced 16550-compatible UARTs while the XR17V354 and XR17V358 serve as a single-lane PCIe to 4 and 8 independent enhanced 16550 compatible UARTs, respectively. These Exar devices are compliant to PCIe 2.0 Gen 1 (2.5GT/s). The XR17V352, XR17V354, and XR17V358 PCIe UARTs have 16 multi-purpose I/Os, a 16-bit general purpose counter/timer, and a global interrupt status register to optimize interrupt servicing. Enhanced features of the XR17V352, XR17V354, and XR17V358 include 256-bytes TX and RX FIFOs, programmable Fractional Baud Rate Generator, Automatic Hardware or Software Flow Control, infrared mode, data rates up to 25Mbps, and more. These Exar devices are designed for use in next generation point-of-sale systems, remote access servers, storage network management, multi-port RS-232 / RS-422 / RS-485 cards, and factory automation and process control.
