ROHM Semiconductor CMOS LDO Regulators
ROHM Semiconductor CMOS LDO (low drop-out) regulators are
tailored for use in portable devices such as PDAs, mobile phones,
digital cameras and camcorders. Lower in cost and small in packaging, ROHM CMOS LDOs
offer designers a superior alternative to PWM regulators in many
point-of-load regulation applications. Depending on the particular
model series, these fixed-output devices offer a selection of output
voltages ranging from 1.2 V to 3.4 V. All ROHM Semiconductor CMOS LDO regulators
feature power-saving shutdown capability and all are compatible with
space-saving ceramic capacitors. A selection of single-output and
triple-output devices is available offering designers the features and
the performance desired for the specific tasks, such as high ripple
rejection for analog signal and RF circuits and high-speed load
regulation for logic circuits. ROHM Semiconductor CMOS LDOs are
available in very small surface mount packages as well as ultra-small
chip-scale units that offer power dissipation performance matching that
of much larger devices.
ROHM Semiconductor Ultra-Compact PIN Diode Arrays
ROHM Semiconductor RN142ZS8A and RN142ZS12A ultra-compact PIN diode arrays are the industry's smallest and thinnest. These ROHM Semiconductor ultra-compact PIN diode arrays integrate multiple diodes into a single package using advanced device processes and ultra-precise manufacturing technologies. The RN142ZS8A features 8 pins and 4 elements while the RN142ZS12A incorporates 6 elements in a 12-pin package. These ROHM devices feature customizable internal configuration, including the diode type, and customizable external pin layout. The PIN diode arrays are ideal for ultra-compact applications, especially high frequency switching.
ROHM Semiconductor Ambient Light Sensor IC
The ROHM Semiconductor Ambient Light Sensor IC family efficiently controls LED backlighting for LCD-equipped devices. The ROHM Semiconductor Ambient Light Sensor IC features ROHM´s
proprietary trimming process and uses multiple photodiodes with
different junction depths to provide an accurate output with little
variation between various light sources. The spectral response of the ROHM Semiconductor Ambient Light Sensor IC family closely matches the human eye for accurate light measurement. These features allow the ICs to provide uniform visibility for LCDs over a wide range of ambient light levels and sources, from incandescent or fluorescent light to full sunlight.
