ROHM Semiconductor Evaluation Boards for BD9673 and BD9876
ROHM Semiconductor Evaluation Boards for BD9673 and BD9876 were designed to aid designers in evaluating BD9673EFJ and/or BD9876EFJ. These evaluation boards accept a wide power supply of 7-42V, a step down output of 1.2V/1.8V/3.3V/5V or any other user defined voltage can be produced. The ICs feature an internal 200mohm Nch MOSFET (3.5A max) and a synchronization frequency range of 200 kHz to 500 kHz. A Soft Start circuit prevents in-rush current during startup along with UVLO (low voltage error prevention circuit) and TSD (thermal shutdown detection) protection circuits. An EN pin allows for simple ON/OFF control of the IC to reduce standby current consumption.

The new high-heat-dissipation package enables direct heat dissipation from BP527x Series DC/DC Converter Modules to an aluminum heat sink. An external heat sink can be mounted, increasing output current capability to 800 mA. In addition, the 3-terminal, pin-compatible configuration enables major increases in power supply efficiency without requiring comprehensive modifications, reducing development time and costs. While providing high input voltage, ROHM Semiconductor BP527x Series DC/DC Converter Modules also facilitate high energy-savings. Besides a high efficiency conversation ratio of up to 93% (for 24V -> 15V), it achieves high output voltage accuracy of ±2%. The BP527x Series DC/DC Converter Modules include six different output voltage types (1.8V to 15V), making it possible to select the ideal solution based on individual specifications.
