PLX Technology USB338x PCIe to USB 3.0 Peripheral Controller

PLX Technology USB 338x is a PCI Express Gen 2 to USB 3.0 SuperSpeed Peripheral Controller. It features one or two PCI Express Gen 2 x1 ports and one USB 3.0 SuperSpeed client port. The USB 338x provides a matching bandwidth at 5 GT/s between the PCI Express Gen 2 bus and the USB 3.0 SuperSpeed bus. The controller can easily add a USB 3.0 client port to an existing PCI Express system, as well as convert existing PCI Express functions (endpoints) to a USB 3.0 product. The USB 3382 provides one or two pairs of buffered, 100 MHz HCSL output clocks, for downstream ports, eliminating the need for extra clock buffer(s).

PLX Technology USB 2380 PCIe to USB 2.0 Peripheral Controller

PLX Technology USB 2380 provides 480Mbps bandwidth between the PCI Express Gen 1 bus and the USB 2.0 Hi-Speed bus. The controller can easily add a USB 2.0 client port to an existing PCI Express system. The USB 2380's standard PCI Express interface provides a x1 upsteam port to connect directly to any PCI Express downstream port for maximum performance of the product. The USB 2380 can be used to easily add a USB 2.0 client port to any PCI Express based embedded system. As a PCI Express endpoint, the USB 2380’s standard PCI Express interface connects directly to any PCI Express bus.

PLX PEX8114 ExpressLane™ PCI Express Bridge

PLX's PEX8114 ExpressLane™ PCI Express Bridge is a high performance bridge designed to the PCI Express-to-PCI/PCI-X Bridge Specification 1.0, that enables designers to migrate legacy PCI and PCI-X bus interfaces to the new advanced serial PCI Express. This 2-port device is equipped with a standard but flexible PCI Express port that scales to x1, x2 or x4 and a parallel bus segment supporting the advanced PCI-X protocol or conventional PCI operation. The PEX 8114 is capable of operating in forward and reverse bridging modes.

PLX Interface-to-SATA Controllers

PLX's Interface-to-SATA Controllers are used for bridging USB interfaces to a SATA hard disks. The OXU3100 supports a number of power saving modes, making it suitable for use in bus-powered applications. The OXU3100 integrates a USB3.0 device, which is backward compatible with USB 2.0, and a SATA II host controller and enables designers to create products with a minimal number of external components and a low cost BOM. The OXU931S is a single chip solution for bridging between USB2.0 and SATA disks. Optimized for entry level external storage applications, the OXU931S integrates a USB2.0 device and a SATA host controller. In addition, the OXU931S can operate without any external memory thanks to the on-chip masked ROM.

PLX PCI615x FastLane PCI-to-PCI Bridges

PLX's PCI615x FastLane™ PCI-to-PCI Bridges are designed for high performance, high availability, and low-power applications. The PCI6150 and PCI6154 is designed for use in hot swap, bus expansions, programmable data transfer rate control, frequency conversions from slower PCI to faster PCI or from faster PCI to slower PCI buses. The PCI6152 consists of three very low power 32-bit bridges. Ranging from 32-bit; 33MHz to 32-bit; 66MHz, it supports up to four secondary PCI master devices, is PCI 2.2 compliant and CompactPCI Hot Swap friendly.

PLX Technology ExpressLane™ PEX 86xx PCI Express Gen 2 Switch

PLX Technology ExpressLane™ PEX 86xx is the industry's largest PCI Express Gen 2 Switch. The PLX Technology PEX 86xx offers Multi-Host PCI Express switching capability enabling users to connect multiple hosts to their respective endpoints via scalable, high bandwidth, non-blocking interconnection to a wide variety of applications, including servers, storage systems, and communications platforms. The PEX 86xx uses an enhanced version of the field tested PLX Technology PEX 8648 PCIe switch architecture, which allows users to configure the device in legacy single-host mode or multi-host mode with up to eight host ports capable of 1+1 (one active and one backup) or N+1 (N active and one backup) host failover. This PCI Express Gen 2 Switch supports packet cut-thru with a maximum latency of 176ns (x16 to x16).

PLX Technology NET2270 USB 2.0 Controller

The PLX Technology NET2270 USB 2.0 controller is designed for simplicity and flexibility while maintaining high performance. The NET2270 comes with one control and three programmable endpoints to work with any combination of control, interrupt, isochronous, and bulk transfers and has multiple built-in functions that allow maximum flexibility, including user selectable modes for endpoint FIFO assignments, direct or multiplexed register-addressing, and split DMA bus.This highly integrated PLX Technology controller features an analog USB 2.0 transceiver, Serial Interface Engine, two 1KB bi-directional FIFO RAM arrays, and more. The PLX Technology NET2270 controller is optimized for single or bi-directional data transfer devices such as printers, scanners, digital cameras, mass storage, and audio products.

PLX Technology ExpressLane™ PEX 8508 Switch

ExpressLane PEX 8508 8-lane, 5-port switch offers PCI Express switching capability that conforms to the PCI Express Specification r1.1. Offered in a 19mm x 19mm 296-ball PBGA, the PEX8508 enables users to add low-cost, scalable high bandwidth switching, both fan-in/out and peer-to-peer, to a wide variety of applications. Non-transparent bridging allows designers to isolate processors in multi-host designs. The switch is hardware configurable and software programmable, allowing users to tailor their port configurations and quality-of-service system needs to suit their requirements for applications that include office automation, network interface adapters, docking stations, AMC cards, and processor isolation for servers, storage, and communications.
