The LabVIEW Real-Time 2: Architecting Embedded Systems course delivers hands-on training for designing scalable, maintainable, and reliable embedded applications. At the end of the course, you will be able to translate your embedded system requirements into a scalable software architecture, choose appropriate methods for inter-process and network-based communication, design your real-time application for reliability, and efficiently deploy and replicate your real-time systems.
The LabVIEW FPGA course prepares you to design, debug, and implement efficient, optimized applications using the LabVIEW FPGA Module and reconfigurable I/O (RIO) hardware. You learn how to compile and deploy your VIs to different types of NI targets, such as NI R Series multifunction RIO, CompactRIO, Single-Board RIO, and NI RIO instruments. You develop applications where you learn to acquire digital and analog I/O, control loop timing, synchronize operations, implement signal processing, and pass data between your host VI and your FPGA target.
Object-oriented (OO) design encourages cleaner interfaces between sections of code, results in code that is easier to debug, and scales better for large programming teams. OO programming is the development of code in a language that enforces OO design principles. This course covers the fundamental concepts of OO design and programming and then demonstrates how those concepts are implemented in LabVIEW.
Building on the NI TestStand 1: Test Development course, the NI TestStand 2: Framework Development course teaches you how to design and architect test system frameworks and customize the built-in functionality of TestStand. You learn advanced features of TestStand, such as using the TestStand application programming interface (API) to dynamically manipulate the test system, creating custom step types and templates to support test developers, creating and customizing process models and user interfaces, and customizing data collection and report generation. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to create or customize the TestStand framework to meet any set of test system requirements.
