    TDK's new Soft Termination C Series Multilayer Chip Capacitors offer improved bending resistance (Board Flex Resistance) during manufacturing or final assembly. The brittleness of the ceramic material on a standard termination capacitor makes it prone to damage during the soldering process, but TDK's soft termination capacitors have a conductive resin terminal layer that protects their ceramic body by absorbing external stress. These soft term capacitors also offer protection from brittle solder fillets when using Pb-free solder. Other features and benefits of TDK's Soft Termination C Series MLCCs include improved temperature cycle performance and RoHS, WEE, and REACH compliance. Soft termination capacitors are available for most TDK MLCC product lines up to C3225 case size and including the 2-in-1 Cap Array line.
