 SiC4xx microBUCK™ Integrated Buck Regulators

Vishay Siliconix's SiC4xx microBUCK™ Integrated Buck Regulators are a family of products that leverage Vishay's unique combination of discrete MOSFET design, IC expertise, and packaging capability to provide customers with cost-effective, high-performance integrated solutions. The resulting integrated solutions deliver a significant reduction in board space requirements. This benefits the designer by giving more space for critical system functionality. Typical applications include notebook, desktop, and server computers, digital HDTV, digital consumer applications, printers, DSL, and STB applications, embedded applications and point of load power supplies.

6A - SiC403, SiC414, SiC424

The Vishay Siliconix SiC403, SiC414, and SiC424 are an advanced stand-alone synchronous buck regulator featuring integrated power MOSFETs, bootstrap switch, and a programmable LDO (SiC403) or an internal 5V LDO (SiC414 & SiC424) in a space-saving MLPQ 5 x 5 - 32 (SiC403) or PowerPAK (MLP44-28L) package. They are capable of operating with all ceramic solutions and switching frequencies up to 1 MHz. The programmable frequency, synchronous operation and selectable power-save allow operation at high efficiency across the full range of load current. The internal LDO may be used to supply 5 V for the gate drive circuits or it may be bypassed with an external 5 V for optimum efficiency and used to drive external n-channel MOSFETs or other loads. Additional features include cycle-by-cycle current limit, voltage soft-start, under-voltage protection, programmable over-current protection, soft shutdown and selectable power-save. They also provide an enable input and a power good output.
