Vishay Semiconductors VOM617A / VOM618A Low Input Current SOP-4 Optocouplers provide a GaAs infrared emitting diode optically coupled to a silicon planar phototransistor detector. These phototransistor output optocouplers feature a compact SOP-4 mini-flat package that saves 30% PCB space over the DIP-4 package, as well as high current transfer ratio, low coupling capacitance, and high isolation voltage. Rated at 110ºC, the devices also offer low input currents of 1mA (VOM618A) and 5mA (VOM617A) and the flexibility to choose from up to nine different current transfer ratio (CTR) ranges from 40% to 600%, which provide designers with increased flexibility. These coupling devices are designed for signal transmission between two electrically separated circuits.
