TriQuint TQM8M Variable Gain Amplifiers

TriQuint's Variable Gain Amplifiers come in analog and digitally controlled variable gain amplifiers. They feature high performance, high linearity and low noise with different devices offering a variety of other features. The TQM8M9074/TQM8M9079 are analog controlled variable gain amplifiers. They integrate a high linearity, low noise amplifier for the first stage, followed by a broadband voltage variable attenuator with a high performance amplifier. The TQM8M9075/TQM8M9076/TQM8M9077/TQM879026/TQM879028 are each digitally controlled variable gain amplifiers (DVGA). All of these devices are ideal for use in wireless infrastructure, point-to-point or can be used for any general purpose wireless application.

TriQuint's TQM879026/28 Digital Variable Gain Amplifiers (DVGA) feature high linearity and digital variable gain control in 0.5 dB step sizes. These DVGAs integrate a gain block, a digital-step attenuator (DSA), and a high linearity ¼-watt amplifier into a compact 4x4 mm package. The internal 6-bit DSA provides a 31.5 dB gain control range and is controlled with a serial periphery interface (SPITM). The individual stages are accessible to external ports to allow for optimization of the last stage amplifier for individual bands and also allowing other functional blocks to be added inbetween the stages.

TriQuint's TQM8M9074 Variable Gain Amplifier is a high dynamic range analog controlled variable gain amplifier (VGA) which operates from 0.7 to 2.8 GHz. The VGA is able to achieve high performance with +43 dBm OIP3 and +27.5 dBm P1dB over a wide gain variation range while only consuming 225 mA current. The part integrates a high linearity, low noise amplifier for the first stage, followed by a broadband voltage variable attenuator and then with a high performance 0.5 Watt P1dB amplifier. The TQM8M9074 is targeted for use in wireless infrastructure where high linearity, medium power and high efficiency are required.

TriQuint's TQM8M9079 Variable Gain Amplifier is an analog controlled variable gain amplifier (VGA) which operates from 500 to 2700 MHz. The VGA is able to provide broadband performance with +29 dBm OIP3 and +16 dBm P1dB over a wide frequency range while only consuming 95 mA current. The TQM8M9079 integrates two broadband gain blocks with a voltage variable attenuator. The three stages are individually accessible via package I/O contacts. This permits full flexibility to insert other components or filters between the stages. The TQM8M9079 is targeted for use in wireless infrastructure, IF gain control in point-to-point applications, and for general purpose wireless.
