TE Connectivity LCEDI Connectors for LVDS and eDP
are the next generation of
connectors
designed to provide exceptional electrical performance in both low-voltage differential signaling (
LVDS
) and embedded DisplayPort (
eDP
) applications. The
LCEDI
(
LCD Coaxial Embedded Display Interface
)
Connectors
feature new technology that provides an interconnection between notebook
LCD panels
and main processor boards using micro coax cable at speeds of 2.7Gbps (or discrete wire AWG 32 teflon or smaller). The ultra-low profile mating configuration offers a user-friendly friction lock mechanism at the shell when mated, or an optional full lock mechanism with pull bar. The
TE LCEDI Connectors
are licensed by I-PEX CO., LTD. and are fully compatible and intermateable with the I-PEX CABLINE-VS
connector
series, recently selected by
VESA
(Video Electronics Standard Association) as the global standard for
LED backlight
, wide panel (16 x 9) interface.
|
VESA
recently specified that next-generation digital video interface
eDP
, in conjunction with standard DisplayPort V1.1a specification, will support the PC market and offer a cost effective substitute to current
LVDS transmission
technology.
eDP
architecture drives 2.7Gbps per lane with a bandwidth of 10.8Gbps over four differential lanes. Each data lane embeds clock signal for superb signal integrity, producing much lower EMI at higher speed data transmission.
