STMicroelectronics L3GD20 motion sensor 3-axis digital gyroscopes are housed in a 4x4x1mm package and combine high-sensing resolution with outstanding immunity to audio noise and vibrations, making motion-sensing user interfaces more realistic in mobile phones, tables, game consoles, and other smart consumer devices. The L3GD20 features resonant frequency above the audio bandwidth, allowing it to operate with greater accuracy and reliability. These STMicroelectronics 3-axis digital gyroscopes have an advanced design with a single sensing structure for motion measurement along all three orthogonal axes, further increasing sensing accuracy and reliability and guaranteeing excellent output stability over time and temperature. The STMicroelectronics L3GD20 offers a wide set of user-programmable full-scale ranges from ±250 degrees per second up to ±2000 degrees per second, with the low full-scale values for high accuracy of slow-motion sensing and the high range to detect and measure very fast gestures and movements.

STMicroelectronics STEVAL-MKI119V1 demonstration board is a kit composed by STEVAL-MKI109V2 (eMotion: ST MEMS adapters motherboard based on the STM32F103) plus the STEVAL-MKI108V2 (L3GD20 and LSM303DLHC 9-axis module designed to be plugged into a standard DIL24 socket). The STEVAL-MKI119V1 demonstration board is ready to be used for iNemoEngine_WP8 evaluation through firmware upgrade.
