STMicroelectronics Automotive Power-Rail TVS Devices

STMicroelectronics Automotive Power-Rail TVS Devices protect sensitive automotive circuits against surges and ESD discharges. They are used in applications for smart junction boxes, relay protection and power-line protection. Features include ISO 7637-2 pulse 5A and 5B standard compliant against surges, IEC 61000-4-2 and ISO 10605 compliant against electrostatic discharges, and automotive grade qualified with additional automotive surge testing. These devices are produced using automotive-grade processes and are qualified to AEC-Q101, and they are identified with the Y extension in the part number for the automotive version of the given protection device.

 

The STMicroelectronics SM4TY 400W Automotive Transil series has been designed to protect sensitive automotive circuits against surges defined in ISO 7637-2 and against electrostatic discharges according to ISO 10605. The planar technology makes it compatible with high-end circuits where low leakage current and high junction temperature are required to provide reliability and stability over time. SM4TY devices are packaged in SMA (SMA footprint in accordance with IPC 7531 standard).
