Discovery Board

STMicroelectronics STM32F407G-DISC1 STM32F4 high-performance discovery board helps you discover the high-performance features of STM32 F4 High-Performance Cortex™-M4 microcontrollers. The STMicroelectronics STM32F407G-DISC1 allows for easy development of applications and includes everything required for beginners and experienced users to get started quickly. The discovery board is based on the STM32F407VGT6 and includes an ST-LINK/V2 embedded debug tool, two ST MEMS/sensors -- digital accelerometer and digital microphone, an audio DAC with integrated class D speaker driver, LEDs and push buttons, and a USB OTG micro-AB connector.

  • STM32F407VGT6 microcontroller featuring 32-bit ARM Cortex-M4F core, 1MB Flash, 192KB RAM in an LQFP100 package
  • On-board ST-LINK/V2 with selection mode switch to use the kit as a standalone STLINK/V2 (with SWD connector for programming and debugging)
  • Board power supply: through USB bus or from an external 5 V supply voltage
  • External application power supply: 3V and 5V LIS302DL, ST MEMS motion sensor, 3-axis digital output accelerometer MP45DT02, ST MEMS audio sensor, omnidirectional digital microphone CS43L22, audio DAC with integrated class D speaker driver
  • Eight LEDs:
    • LD1 (red/green) for USB communication

STMicroelectronics STM3242IPRIM-D MCU Target Board is for the evaluation of the STM32F429ZI MCU. It allows users to upgrade their EvoPrimer development platforms for evaluation of the STM32F429ZI featuring Chrom-ART Accelerator™ (DMA2D), which allows rapid and easy enhancement of graphics on the platforms color touch screen. By allowing management of bitmaps, multiple objects, layering, transparency and more with just a few lines of code, STM32F429ZI facilitates creation of eye-catching, responsive graphical interfaces with minimum added coding and cost. When implementing the Chrom-ART Accelerator, it provides a large color touchscreen, 2Mbytes of addtional SDRAM and CircleOS API for rapid implementation of the Chrom-ART Accelerator. All this is in addition to standard platform features such as audio codec, Joystick, MEMS accelerometer, micro SD card connector, USB interface, IrDa transceiver and hardware extension connector (USART, SPI, I2C, ADC).

The STMicroelectronics STM32F4 Expansion Boards aim to expand the functionality Discovery board built around the STM32F4 processor featuring a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M4 architecture. The newly available trio of accessories include an LCD module (STM32F4DIS-LCD) and a camera module (STM32F4DIS-CAM), both of which connect to a hardware extension base board (STM32F4DIS-BB) which provides Ethernet connectivity and plugs directly into the Discovery Board. The new hardware accessories are custom designed for the Discovery Board STM32F4 and come with the necessary software drivers, making them easy for engineers to use to quickly extend the functionality of their STM32F4 design.

The Base Board (STM32F4DIS-BB) enables the STM32F407G-DISC1 board users to become more familiar with features of the STM32F4xx. It helps to extend out and conveniently offer all the interfaces on the STM32F4 Discovery board, including Serial ports, USB, Ethernet, CAN, SPI, I2C, GPIO, Camera, TF Card, LCD and Touch Screen interfaces on board. The combination of the STM32F4DIS-BB and the STM32F407G-DISC1 forms a comprehensive platform for evaluating the STM32F4xx series ARM Cortex-M4 microcontrollers and allows easy prototyping of third party solutions with STM32F407G-DISC1 board or STM32F4xx series microcontrollers.
