STM8AF 8-Bit Microcontrollers

STMicroelectronics STM8AF 8-Bit Microcontrollers are intended for automotive applications where no compromise on parameters is possible, from reliability to system cost effectiveness. The STM8AF series is modular, provides high performance and offers the flexibility required for short development cycles. Its true data EEPROM, combined with the capability to withstand up to 150 °C ambient temperature, make the series a sustainable choice for automotive applications. Common features include STM8 core at 16 or 24MHz, 10-bit ADC, LIN 2.1, USART, SPI, I2C, 16-bit PWM timers, 16-bit motor control PWM, WWDG, IWDG, auto wake-up, 16/24MHz & 128kHz internal clocks, bootloader and SWIM debug module.

STM8A Development Tools

STMicroelectronics offers various tools to help design engineers discover and develop the STM8A automotive microcontrollers family features and develop your applications. These tools include the STM8A-DISCOVERY Kit and STM8/128-EVAL Evaluation Board. The STM8A-DISCOVERY includes two dedicated application boards that can be connected together via a LIN network. The STM8A/128-EVAL is designed as a complete development platform for the STM8 core-based STM8AXX microcontroller with CAN2.0A/B compliant interface, I2C, SPI, two UART channels with smartcard, IrDA and LIN support, internal 2 Kbyte data Flash and 128 Kbyte Flash program memory, SWIM debugging support.


STM8A-DISCOVERY Development Kit

STMicroelectronics STM8A-DISCOVERY Development Kit helps you discover the STM8A automotive microcontrollers family features and develop your applications through two dedicated application boards that can be connected together via a LIN network. This board can perform both CAN and LIN communications with the MCU powered at 5V and is ready to be connected into a network with its integrated transceiver. This board includes push buttons, LEDs, external connectors and allow various configurations to take advantage of the numerous capabilities of the microcontrollers.

STMicroelectronics STM8A/128-EVAL Evaluation Board is designed as a complete development platform for the STM8 core-based STM8AXX microcontroller with CAN2.0A/B compliant interface, I2C, SPI, two UART channels with smartcard, IrDA and LIN support, internal 2 Kbyte data Flash and 128 Kbyte Flash program memory, SWIM debugging support. The full range of hardware features helps you to evaluate all peripherals (including motor control, CAN, micro SD Card, smartcard, UART, LIN, IrDA) and develop your own applications.
